any rumors?

Already got rumors that Persona CPS will be launch after new Waja launch, which makes sense since the new Waja will have different/bigger engine so no market overlap.

u mean the lancer waja? wow...that would be next yr....

i heard tv3 news yesterday, they will launch the new waja and another facelifted model during the KLIMS'10 this december

i hear a slightly different rumour though....

the upcoming lancer re-badged will not be exactly waja replacement as most people thought it would be...

market segment for waja cps will be taken over by persona cps since persona itself is overlapping with waja (the reason why no persona cps)...

as for the lancer well, some say .... and others say .... but i don't discount the possibility of it actually replacing perdana instead no matter ridiculous it may sound (albeit both cars are two different classes)...

Justeru, kami akan memasuki fasa pengenalannya ke pasaran atau prapelancarannya selepas Aidilfitri nanti, katanya pada sidang media selepas pelancaran Kempen Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Di Jalan Raya dan Tempat Kerja di Kilang Proton, Shah Alam, semalam.

Sementara itu, Berita Harian difahamkan, model gantian Waja itu mengekalkan 95 peratus reka bentuk luaran dan dalaman Lancer Fortis, tetapi menampilkan perbezaan ketara bahagian luaran.

Model gantian waja itu dijangka ditawarkan pada harga sekitar RM75,000 (bagi versi 1.8 liter manual); RM80,000 (bagi 1.8 liter auto) dan hampir RM100,000 untuk 2.0 liter.
Ketika ini, model sedia ada Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 GT yang diimport sepenuhnya (CBU) dari Jepun, dijual pada harga atas jalan tanpa insurans pada RM120,598.10 seunit.

Selain model gantian Waja, Syed Zainal berkata, PROTON yang akan menyertai Pameran Kereta Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur 2010 (KLIMS 2010) awal Disember ini, akan turut melancarkan satu lagi model PROTON yang dipertingkatkan.

PROTON akan menggunakan pameran itu sebagai platform terbaik dalam mengetengahkan model terbaru kami. Namun, saya tidak boleh menamakan model apa yang akan dilancarkan nanti, katanya.

i think this might be the case here too... but it'll still be the same Waja Replacement, as it will actually replace Waja. However, the class of the Waja will be up to be on the level of current Perdana... and the Perdana Replacement could be exclusive to government official only. Persona Replacement will take over Waja market.

the only issue with this logic is, the pricing. the only affordable entry level car from Proton will only be Saga??? as before this fresh grad who just started their life alone will have choices between Saga and Persona...


i dont know how much will it cost you to change the bushings as I asked my SA before and she told me to go for rubber instead. plus i'm still on warranty, wouldn't care much about the price... however, adding some rubber will cost you somewhere RM30-RM40...

proton SC sometimes didnt replace... mine was "improved" by putting on a short strip of timing belt on the bushing itself... the ppl at my tyre place said its common for proton SC to do that... i replaced the rubber with polyurethane material... under hundred if not mistaken... the workmanship will be abit costly due to the location...

under RM100 is material and labour or material only? how much longer will the polyurethane material last over the oem or rubber type? OEM is rubber???
