processed food is usually okay...

in addition, uk is quite lax in this area, unlike oz or nz, as the uk now does not have a major agriculture industry now.....

in any case, it would have been an exercise in futility, as there is free movement of people (and whatever are in their bags) to and from the continent.....

there is something wrong with these figures....

20-40 quid rent a week is too cheap.....

20-30 quid food a day is too expensive!.....

depend on your location and apartment(shared/non shared) and facilities available
*
there is no way you are going to get a room in oxford for 20 quid a week...

the average will be 60-70 pounds....some less desirable ones may go for 40-50 pounds........

and btw, they normally charge per head....so a couple will have to pay double minus some discount.....but utilities charges will definitely be double......

Yorkshire is not even like Ipoh. Probably Taiping.
And London is hectic. More Have u seen how people rush in the morning in tube!
*
yorkshire is a district (county), and not a town/city.....it's the biggest county in england, and the equivalent is like the state of perak.....

the main cities are leeds and sheffield, with many other smaller cities and towns.....

therefore cost of living will vary from place to place, so it is impossible to quantitate these costs based on the term 'yorkshire'....however, generally, that region has a lower cost than london or the southeast........

leeds does have the distinction as the city with the lowest student cost....

i suppose if it is 5 years ago, and it's like 'keeping company' for the owner, it might be 40 quid a week....

Hey guys, I would like to ask if you guys got buy any medical or personal accident insurance over in UK?
*
students will be covered under nhs for all health care, including emergency care in an accident, so there is no need to take separate insurance.....

Malaysiantiger & sunofabeach,
how about the seats? The seats can be lowered down? For AA, have to sit straight for the whole travel on plane?
*
the long haul a340s have 31" seat pitch, same as for other fsa like ba/ek/qf....and the back of the seat can be reclined like the other airlines.....

while you have to pay for check in luggages, and meals, if the total fare is substantially less than fsa, it is of course worth it.....if you book early, and there is a sale, it can be half the price of fsa....

Most probably due to the tuition fees are high

hertfordshire uni 9000 quid...

northumbria 9450...

liverpool uni 11,550 pounds...

cardiff uni 10,700 quid...

bath 11,600

doesn't seem to be very significantly different.....

Added on October 30, 2011, 10:21 pmhmm.....edinburgh is only 12050 quid.....

if you can get in.....smile.gif

Added on October 30, 2011, 10:27 pmin fact, just look at cambridge fees....10752 quid only..... smile.gif

well...as i have always suspected,......people 'choose' tier 3 unis because they are easier to get in.....because cost is actually NOT that different....

but then again, it's the same in every country, i suppose....

Yes, because the requirements is not high. Honestly speaking, doing law to please my parents. I just wanna get over it fast. No offense here, my apologies.

law is a terrible course to do, if one is not interested.....talk to your parents about alternatives....

Statistics does not equal probability... given the conditional probabilities I'd say she will be enrolled.

i agree.....almost all candidates offered, WILL meed the condition of offer, as far as oxbridge is concerned.....otherwise, they wouldn't even have bother to look at you...

caveat: unforeseen circumstances notwithstanding, eg illness, love sickness etc.....

If migration is the main reason for decision, then under current migration rules, it is easier to stay on in nz than UK.......

Am now currently filling up and preparing university application.

I need to fill in the passport number obviously, but the expired date for my passport is Nov 2012. Must I need to renew my passport?
*
go renew the passport before applying.....you will get extra 6 months on top of the 5 years, in exchange for renewing 8 months early......
