My university regional officer told me that some people applied on the 6th and got it today. So maybe you guys can roughly gauge when you'll be getting your visa. I am currently suffering from visa envy atm

I must ask, why is it that there are so many people applying for their visas late?
With a reasonable timeframe in mind with regards to - application, approval, issue of CAS, preparation of docs, etc. ; I do not see how it is that so many of our LYNers should be caught in a last-minute rush. |

QUOTE(RENEGADEZERG @ Sep 21 2010, 04:33 PM) Good question. Let me just briefly tell you my situation and then you can share my frustration with me too ok Oh. Meaning the results itself comes out rather late? These results - What results are these that we're talking about in general? A levels perhaps? I know yours(RENEGADEZERG) is probably uni results of some sort from your previous post; Was wondering whether the majority of last minute LYN visa applicants are moving from A-levels to Uni or from local Uni to UK Uni. With reference to your situation, I can imagine how frustrated you must be feeling. Haha. Don't worry - in the grand scheme of things, doesn't really matter. You'll still get to go over and start. (Of course it's easy for me to say, seeing as I'm not in your shoes eh?) Anyway, Have you started packing yet? If only you had a brother working in an airlines as a pilot. One of my friends got a RM66 First-Class ticket to London. Sweet. Even if he had to burn the ticket due to external events(like yours), he could still get another one. And Cheap. Guess it's economy-class and standard fares for the rest of us folk. any of you who are experiencing possible flight delays due to visa delays can contact Travelsight, a travel agency. they offer flight date changes service with very little charges, so instead of throwing your ticket away, they can help you with flight date changes like how they helped mine.
their website is travelsight.com.my or you can call their office directly, 03-21488255 |

QUOTE(kalley @ Sep 22 2010, 08:46 AM) QUOTE(chelsh @ Sep 22 2010, 02:17 AM) i will be in london London?Splendid! Haha. Guess we might unknowingly bump into each other. Though I fancy that most Malaysians don't end up in London. Not all, but I daresay most. When are your flight dates? Been contemplating which banks I would want to set up with. I'm probably settled on Barclays - You just cannot beat the number of branches and ATMs they have in London itself. Would very much prefer a HSBC account; But they levy a monthly fee - We don't really need that do we? Fun to see so many people flying before me. My ticket is on the 25th. I hope no one's on the plane and there's no queue at the custom check-point. XD
