Guys/Girls, would like to ask.
If my maximum baggage allowance is 20kg.
What should I prioritize ?
I'm thinking short sleeves won't be much of a usage when its cold.
What about food ? Should I bring some maggi + milo ? lol
To cure homesickness sad.gif
Please advice.
Thank you !

Milo is essential at least for me laugh.gif bring the 3 in 1 if not then you can buy at UK at a luxury price. Maggie basically you could get it over there and it is not too expensive. You will have a lot more selection over there instead of Maggie.

I wear short sleeve most of the time during my studies. It is up to you actually.

The most important thing for me is dried meat (bakkwa) tongue.gif

For me
1 - Money
2 - food

Hi, this is pretty urgent, so I'm hoping someone can help clarify my doubts. I'm about to apply for my visa tomorrow morning but I just realized that the fixed deposit receipts I have are not up to date (past the due date, the stated due dates are early this month). Would my application be rejected because of this?

I do have bank statements from each bank stating that the money have been kept more than 28 days, that it can be withdrawn anytime with the total amount of money for each account (though not amount of each individual FD receipt) stated up to date. Would that itself be sufficient?

If not, I'd probably have to postpone my appointment date tonight. So I'm hoping someone can provide some feedback. Thanks!

there is no necessity to update fd certs nowadays, as if you have automatic renewal, the bank should be sending you renewal notices, with start and end dates and interest levels....

if you have the bank letters, with proper letterheads, and with up to date information, you actually do not need the fd certs......however, i am not sure if such letters are acceptable, they actually usually want the actual statements themselves.......

if the accounts are not in your name, you will need a letter from the account holder to certify the owner of the funds allow you to use the funds..........

you can make appointments online.....

if you do not have an appointment, you will only get served when those with appointment has been dealt with, or not at all, if all the slots have been taken......

this is peak period, with the a levels result just released, and final offers coming in, so expect big crowds.....appointment is strongly advised.......

Welcome to Bristol.

City centre to UWE is about 10km away, which takes about 15-25 minutes on a good day by car. Roughly about 30-45 minutes by bus/coach.

There are plenty of accommodations catered for students scattered all around city centre, even some outside of city centre (e.g. Fishponds area). Free UWE coaches run from city centre to UWE or through Fishponds area very regularly on school days.

When will you arrive UK?

You better get it sorted as soon. There are cheaper option but you will have to look around really. there are cheaper options (i.e. private renting) but may be difficult to you as you are new to UK. Or hunt/google around, there are plenty of agencies dealing with student accommodation in Bristol. Also UWE campus based accommodation is actually as if not as expensive than those outside.

Yes, and do make sure they are of good quality and not blurry! I did mine at Sunway Hospital together with my blood test. Paid good money for it too. They were not happy with mine because there was a 'cloud' on the image and they suspected TB! I had to retake my chest x-ray when I arrived at Cardiff. Did it in an old dilapidated infirmary not even fit for purpose! Their x-ray equipment must be like a hundred years old. I wasn't happy because I was exposed twice to radiation in less than a week. The Doctor said it was fine but still. The second x-ray thankfully was ok. The x-ray in Cardiff was free btw.
