Anyone knows how long it takes for the university to give a reply to my decisions ?
I settled my ucas on 29th of April, till today only 1 replied but it was a conditional offer from Uni of Southampton.
Still waiting for Keele & Kingston to reply me.

Nervous wreck sad.gif

Anyone knows, is it possible to get a half price discount when you renew your passport showing your offer letter ?

I already accepted the uncon offer but I haven't received the offer letter yet.
What I receive though is a CAS letter. ( Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies ) from the Uni.

Is this letter enough to prove to them ?
Thanks smile.gif

actually uncon offer letter is good enough
no??
it will be better if you already settle the tuition fees
then just show them the CAS letter you have plus the receipt
for visa purpose, you need to settle your accomodation too
prove to them you have a place to stay  icon_rolleyes.gif

I have not pay the fees yet since i haven't settle my passport yet. now doing the accommodation.

For Cardiff the minimum living expenses (bare minimum) should be close to 500...
Average rent for private residences in cathays (student area near uni) is around 230-270 without bills
University residences im not sure...you can check the accomodation website for the info
Bills etc provided your living in private accomodation should set you back around 70 per month
Mobile phone contracts around 35 (with good phones)
foods etc 150 if you cooking and eat a lot
Transports free (with you legs tongue.gif)..its a compact city so everything's in walking distance

I've heard Manchester's accommodation are big and cheap. brows.gif
not sure true or not.

I am studying there and to be fair the word "good" is very board will vary from person to person, and it sometimes depends on the course you choose as well. It might not be as good as other well-known unis such as Warwick, UCL, Nottingham etc in general but I personally quite like it. It is also one of the red-brick universities. Also, the living cost is not as high as other big cities while the campus is just a few minute walk to the town centre so it's very convenient to go wherever you want. You can always come back to me again if u have more questions regarding the uni or even the city itself.

I never visited there before. Probably depends on your course but it is Top 100 according to the QS ranking last year. so I assume it is quite good as well. For more information you might wanna ask some students studying there though. ^^

Hi there, I need some help on writing my personal statement. I'm hoping to apply for two different field which is Mathematics and Mech.Engineering. Is it advisable to do so, or should I just focus on one field to show my enthusiasm and interest?

I do have a list of mathematics awards. Would they be of any help if I decided to focus on engineering?
P.S. by the way, is the subject Thinking Skills important? Would it make any difference in the decisions of universities admissions?
*
Then talk about maths, if you have more stuff to talk about.
You can touch a bit into engineering if you're applying for the engineering course.
oh btw, isn't it too late to apply already ?
you're applying through ucas yeah ? unsure.gif

Ah I see.
What's your insurance course in Southampton then ?

BTW,

I would like to ask
I have received a confirmation letter AS12N.
I tried google-ing but the only to find out about AS12.
But I have received my CAS already.
Not so sure why my letter has the letter "N" behind it though.
Anyone knows ?
