Can anyone advise what is the mininium expenses (fees & cost of living) to study Medic in UK now ? Which U is cheap and good ? If I have a budget of Rm500k, can i manage ?

then just show them the CAS letter you have plus the receipt
for visa purpose, you need to settle your accomodation too

For canada, yes. Jst bring along ur acceptance letter. Not too sure about other countries.

For Cardiff the minimum living expenses (bare minimum) should be close to 500...
Average rent for private residences in cathays (student area near uni) is around 230-270 without bills
University residences im not sure...you can check the accomodation website for the info
Bills etc provided your living in private accomodation should set you back around 70 per month
Mobile phone contracts around 35 (with good phones)
foods etc 150 if you cooking and eat a lot
Transports free (with you legs )..its a compact city so everything's in walking distance

I am studying there and to be fair the word "good" is very board will vary from person to person, and it sometimes depends on the course you choose as well. It might not be as good as other well-known unis such as Warwick, UCL, Nottingham etc in general but I personally quite like it. It is also one of the red-brick universities. Also, the living cost is not as high as other big cities while the campus is just a few minute walk to the town centre so it's very convenient to go wherever you want. You can always come back to me again if u have more questions regarding the uni or even the city itself.

I never visited there before. Probably depends on your course but it is Top 100 according to the QS ranking last year. so I assume it is quite good as well. For more information you might wanna ask some students studying there though. ^^

Hi there, I need some help on writing my personal statement. I'm hoping to apply for two different field which is Mathematics and Mech.Engineering. Is it advisable to do so, or should I just focus on one field to show my enthusiasm and interest?

I do have a list of mathematics awards. Would they be of any help if I decided to focus on engineering?
P.S. by the way, is the subject Thinking Skills important? Would it make any difference in the decisions of universities admissions?
