we do have a good team...the only problem is when we meet strong teams..thats when we'll realize how big a gap our squad is compare to them in terms of quality nod.gif

+1

we all acknowledge we have a good team. decent enough last 2 seasons to walk on top european teams. 4-1. 4-0s & several scores i cant remember. But like a well geared car, we need improvements of personels to chase the competition, if others were adding quad turbos, multi HP injections, Lfc cannot be too dependen on existing mods. We cant change the car, complete overhaul or better mods cant be back from the board, there was only how much we can keep up.

Too early in the season to go so negative, throwing in the towel, condemning this player and that etc.. Too early in the season to swing the other way also.

Don't laugh, but Ngog has the makings of a great striker. Like the two sides of a coin, a great player needs skills on one side and confidence on the other. A great manager must be good in cultivation and motivation. I think RH is miles ahead of RB in these areas.

To be sure, RB did buy many good players. Unfortunately due to his non-communicative and dictatorial style, he neither cultivated nor motivated players like Babel, Benayoun, Riera, Pacheco (and a host of youngsters with great potential) and some of them actually declined during their stay in LFC.

Hopefully, things will be very different from now on. We will have a good season but there might be ups and downs along the way. Let's get behind our team!

Kuyt: I'm staying at Liverpool

Dirk Kuyt has quelled speculation surrounding his future by insisting: "I'm staying at Liverpool."

I agree with you on the molding new talents issue.
When I saw Babel and Ngog coming in, I thought they could shine like those young lads in Arsenal. I for 1 salute Arsenal's youth/young talents development.

I rated Babel and Ngog highly but they didn't seem to shine under RB. RB is a good manager, don't want to take anything away from him but maybe, just maybe he's not good enough in motivating and getting the best out of these young lads.

Under RH, these lads seems to be getting more playing time and Pachecho looks promising too. But I'll stick to Babel and Ngog.
Hopefully they can improve and bolster our attacking options.

To be honest, I'm a little disappointed that some of you have turned against Masch so suddenly without even trying to understand his predicament. His personal life always comes first, as it should with any player. He has shown so much commitment and passion whenever he's played but it's no secret his wife has had a hard time settling. The problem already surfaced last season but she probably thought shed give it a go. Have you lived in Liverpool? It's not exactly a paradise. Clearly she still hasn't settled and now that he's got a chance to move and make her happy, he's taking it. We know he didn't feel that he was in the right frame of mind to play but it isn't as though he's suddenly taken a swing at the team criticizing us for forcing him to stay. I urge fans today not to have short memories and not be so fickle. He is a red and soon he will be a former red. He has played with all his heart each time and I thank him for his service. The time has come for us to part and I wish him well. Have some class and show him some gratitude.

yeah.. we shouldn't put our blame on mascherano. he just want his wife to get better and happy. We can all see him play so well with blood and sweat during the first game against arsenal.

i give u all an example to think; u got a very pretty, sexy, the best girlfriend. suddenly your girlfriend dump u and wanna break up with u, becos she found a better guy. what do u think? can u forgive her on the spot? of course u will blame her or hate her 1st, u may need time as well to heal your heart pain...
so, can u guys apply this to this masch's issue?
reason can only be a reason.. u guys believe masch wanna leave us becos of his family? come on guys, this is just a bullshit excuses i've ever heard...
no offence to anybody, i just feel something is not right here.. that's all...
i'm not simply critised our own player, loosing Alonso is already a jeorpardy, to loose masch is double jeopardy for me...
it's like loosing my loved one....
