Milito didn't even feature much in World Cup lol.

Anyway, travelling isn't bad since sooner or later the squad will still travel whether far or near. Just no more volcanic ash stuff yea laugh.gif

i thought the awards has nothing to do with World Cup?

Ya its for club but its kinda weird to see a player that sweeps everything and did not do anything in WC.

Some of you guys are quite content with our goalkeeping situation. Do you think Wenger will give more chance to Szczesny (fuuu what a name always forgot how to spell it)  besides in Carling Cup?
*
With both Almunia and Fabianski getting injury, yes why not since Mannone did last year.

Would like to see VDV in Arsenal biggrin.gif
Good vision and passes, have a very nice shot as well.
Works well with our Van Persie wink.gif

Also he has experience playing at the top level, which for me is always a bonus for any player.

Midfield is already too pack with or without VDV so i don't think it will be ideal unless its free icon_idea.gif

Away trip to Blackburn is going to be really tough especially with Blackburn home record where they haven't lost all the way from last year September.

1-1. Pretty fair i must say but how far from Blacburn playing a rugby match isn't really far.

Koscielny constantly under pressure today.

Blacburn must be hardest team of the lower tier of the EPL. Their physical presence would have out muscled any team in the world honestly.

A hurdle has pass proven Arsenal has pass the phsyical part. Great job Arsenal and Arsene.

And i have to say Walcott is just so so much better than last year. What did he really do in the pre-season must be really good.

Arsenal to travel to Tottenham in Carling Cup

Arsenal will travel to Tottenham Hotspur in the Third Round of the Carling Cup.

The draw for the Third Round took place on Saturday lunchtime.

The tie will take place at White Hart Lane during the week commencing September 20.

By the way, the reserved team will be showing Tottenham to put their feet back on the world after their CL qualification laugh.gif

Bt somehow i feel that v.persie's standard has really took a tumble in the last few seasons. He doesn't seem to have the predator's instinct anymore, and he just tumbles at every tackle. Very flimsy. And this includes even when he's fully match fit.

Strongly sense that chamakh would easily be beating him to the first team really soon if he doesn't buck up.

Overall just really relieved to see arsenal come out with the 3 points. Might be crucial later on in the season. smile.gif

To remind u again, last year first few matches he didn't score any at all until after ManCity match where he got his first goal. After that bang he keeps scoring that u can't remember when he last didn't score. So i think we just need to give him sometime for some power boost flex.gif

Anyway, Walcott goal was too good that it wreck the net badly laugh.gif

And kesian Almunia, even the goal bar doesn't want to help him

A good article on Koscielny (among others).

Perhaps may convince some of you who said his performance was sh|te... Probably the same people who thought Diaby was crap...  rolleyes.gif

I think the article says it all. But further review should be done when Koscielny is up against a fit Rooney/Torres or the super-strong Drogba for us to give a clearer view of just how good is him.

Let this be the year where no strikers can just score pass Arsenal as if no one is there to do anything.

Btw, Vermaelan seems to drop a lot of his attacking position already which seems to be good since our attack is already on-par with any good strong attacking force.

Good to see RvP injured hiself in a club match instead of international matches or the blaming action will start or just like last year the delay on surgery stuff and so on.
