I placed a pre-order to the G53 back in August ... and got all excited when I got an email from GenTech saying their first shipment was coming last week. Only to be shot down yesterday after being told earliest ship date will be Nov due to hdd bracket shortage
makes me want to cancel the order and shift to something else |

To all experienced asus gaming notebook seniors, would you recommend someone who have never bought something from overseas to buy a laptop from US resellers? Do you think it's advisable to use the service of those who offer to help you buy laptops from USA? Like this one for example: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...94817&hl=fesick

And i want G53 la... not the monster G73 (too big) I had the same order with xoticpc, but canceled it after they quoted me a stupid shipping fee of 295USD ! @corad... it seems xoticpc hasn't started shipping either. I've been buying Sager laptops with them for the past 5 years , and even with that leverage they stuck to their price while GenTech quoted 120USD. This will be my 1st Asus tho, see-ing they have similar specs as the Sager NP8690 , but about 50USD cheaper |

Thanks, but I really would like to know whether it would be advisable if I do it by myself. Though it's good to know he's a trusty seller. |
