Not really, it's impractical to deploy tripod when you are covering events. Big aperture lenses helps a lot in situation like this.

Total misinformation is that Sony is getting out of FF sensor business. Sony’s future is no OVF on APSC and a pro FF line with OVF. That will be Sony’s main future emphasis. That will naturally include continuous design and manufacturing of FF CMOS sensors. Pentax tried Samsung sensors. They dropped tham and went quickly back to Sony. No company cam produce better sensors than Sony.”

just tried the a33, loving the EVF but there is about 1 second lag to activate the EVF when u bring the EVF to eye level. The refresh rate of the EVF is very fast, it wont have ghosting/tearing effect when you moving the camera while looking through the EVF.
the local AF selection is quite easy, it is like the NEX, press the center button and you can choose the AF point.
the grip is abit small, cannot fit my pinkie, but not a major problem for me.
couldnt try the video mode as they dont have memory card in the camera.

are the batteries used in NEX and the a55 the same? if yes, is it less powerful compared to my dinosaur's battery?

oh boy. then i have a problem switching to SLTs. need to buy new accessories again. new batts and new VGs. =/ (as if i will switch><)
