forum selling at RM1265 cheapest. but that has to depend on what other accessories they giving you for that price as well. so what are they giving for RM1299?

just went to buy one unit, the RM1299 package was:
1. Camera
2. 4GB SD Card
3. Case
4. Screen Protector (had to ask for it)

bundle promotion: Canon Silphy Printer PWP at RM199 (didn't get this though)

on top of that, Canon provided additional freebies:
5. 8GB SD Card (yes, so you'd get 4GB + 8GB overall)
6. Messenger Bag

quite a good deal, but found a tiny dead pixel on the LCD, sigh sad.gif

from the review, seems like the picture quality is not up to par compared to S95 (firmware issue?), and with the GPS built-in, it's drain the battery even faster. personally i don't find it unwise if you'd get a S95 instead of S100, especially if you can get a good deal, e.g. better memory card, case, and other freebies bundled at below RM1.3k price point.

would it not be expensive to add?
sony's cybershot has gps!

I think you should wait for the s100. My friend bought hers on t-d the other day and regret it because the s100 will be out so soon!

Some people consider file size, date, aperture, speed etc totally useless whereas some find them important. Ditto GPS.

I think those who think GPS information are not important also said the same thing about Smartphone being useles. If you put your mind on it, there are many uses. For exmaple, Geotag photo can be used to share with friend places of interest and if their friends wanted to, they can go there themselves armed with those geotag info.

I am still holding back on getting the S100 because of the question mark on picture quality.
