but there's 2 rite.. Mahayana and Theravada? one is to achieve parinirvana and the other is buddhahood..
this is the point where im unsure also

technically, if u wanna become a Buddha, u need to practice the 10 perfections(Paramis) and to be a Bodhisattva, the 6 perfections. which is very very difficult, and takes a loooooooooooooong time. so people who wants discount will straight practice to gain enlightenment through arahanthood method. easier. |

and also.. they already work hard to achieve alot of karma in previous lives
