The weird *clap* sounds is a known issue on Android 2.2

If you can understand cantonese, change ur voice navigation to it. This is the only sounds that does not contain the *clap* sound.

Thats why I chosen the dark side and rooted my phone.

Yes, you have to clear up some space by uninstalling some apps.

Root is just to gain super user access to ur phone.

After root, you can install custom ROM that comes with A2SD+ feature which can install apps/games into Sd card.

There are many ppl from XDA saying battery is the best on this ROM and the radio u r using. Do u have lots of sync running at the back?

Im still on AuraxTSense7.1 btw, just wondering how come some ppl say this v7.6.1 battery is great and some say is bad.

Do you encounter any slowness on speed? How does the undervolting on version 7.6 works actually? Under volt the battery and thus slowing down a bit on performace? Similar like the SetCPU concept?

Can Titanium or Mybackup restore market link as well?

I had used MyBackUp Pro to restore apps but seems like the market link was all gone. The system think that all apps are installed via an external channel.

It DOES NOT install apps to SD card directly, you need to move them manually in Setting > Application > Manage Application

NOT ALL apps supports Move to SD. Those with Move to SD button grey out means cannot be moved.

U dont need to "exit" the apps, just press the Home hardware button and the apps will be in "sleeping" mode.

Thats how Android managing all apps.

I dunno how IOS4 multitasking works.

You need to partition ur SD card, before or after flashing ROM does not matter. After these steps you will then able to see how much space you have on A2SD (Recommended swap 0, ext3 512MB , the rest FAT32)

Guys, anyone have changed their boot animation? I tried follow the steps from here but could not do it, the boot animation remains the same.

I used my Desire for 3 months on stock 2.1 before finally rooted and flashed custom froyo ROM, been almost 1 month on custom ROM and no regret and will never regret until 1 day I brick my phone (Chances are minimal if you follow the procedures)

1) With A2SD+, i have 130++ apps/games installed and still have 60MB++ on internal memory
2) Ability to use apps which is for rooted phones only (Titanium backup, shootme etc). These apps give you very useful features
3) Can change standard font which looks dull and boring to me.
4) Ability to have custom boot animation on startup.
5) More flexibility to customize ur homescreen where you can use Mod widgets

And few more not mentioned here
