QUOTE(Cynox @ Aug 31 2010, 12:19 PM) Just completed mine 1 minute ago, it is 137MB from Setting>>SD & Phone storage. Of course it is will ext3 setup. Yup managed to flashed 7.1 yesterday, on 1st boot I got only 128MB (Internal) and 780MB++ on A2SD (I partitioned ext3 to 1024MB). Weird. Your problem solved? Now working like charm? * I flashed ROM 1st then partitioned using Amon_Ra. Should I try to flash ROM again with full wipe? (I think I will able to get 137MB on internal by partitioning 1st then flash ROM) |

QUOTE(Cynox @ Aug 31 2010, 12:40 PM) this is what i did just now: You partitioned using amon_ra method?1. copy new ROM and Radio to SD card. 2. Enter into Recovery. 3. Flash ROM. Do not reboot. 4. Flash Radio. It will require Reboot to continue. 5. So Reboot System Now. 6. The reboot will auto go into Recovery Mode again. 7. Partition SD card with swap,ext2 and FAT32. Upgrade ext2 to ext3. 8. Reboot System Now. 9. Done. It will take a while to boot into phone. Just for your info, for the preparation, I did a Titanium Full Backup. Dun forget about this. Why system will auto go into recovery mode again on Step 6? Normally system will auto boot into ROM if you dont choose to boot into recovery. Correct me if Im wrong. Thanks again. |

QUOTE(Cynox @ Aug 31 2010, 01:13 PM) i think i am using Amon_RA. But I did not do a Unrevoked process this time. I think did once and it (Amon RA) will be inside your phone forever. Thanks, i reflashed 7.1 and the steps was exactly the same as above, but I manage to get 135MB only on internal memory during 1st boot. On A2SD+, I partitioned ext3 to 1024MB but it shows 774MB only. (Using Quick System Info)I dun know why but it did went into recovery automatically. Actually I forget to put in 1 step - the wiping data steps. So it should be: 1. copy new ROM and Radio to SD card. 2. Enter into Recovery. 3. Wipe data/factory reset, Wipe cache, Wipe Dalvik-cache, Wipe SD:ext partition. 4. Flash ROM. Do not reboot. 5. Flash Radio. It will require Reboot to continue. 6. So Reboot System Now. 7. The reboot will auto go into Recovery Mode again. 8. Partition SD card with swap,ext2 and FAT32. Upgrade ext2 to ext3. 9. Reboot System Now. 10. Done. It will take a while to boot into phone. EDIT: Just ran a few round of Quadrant, the score is 1,423, my highest so far. No overclock is done, just a fresh flashed system. |

QUOTE(Cynox @ Aug 31 2010, 08:35 PM) i dun not even restore all the green items relates to system. My restore from Titanium has so far dun have any issue on NextSense 5.3 and 7.0, especially for program like NoteEverything, SplashID, etc which are not system related at all. But this latest flash to 7.1 for these programs all caused a reboot automatically. As I mentioned earlier, my steps were exactly the same as urs when flashing from NextSense5.3 to AuraxTSense7.1. I dont encounter any problem so far except noted that the boot up is slower than previous NextSense versions (Rebooted few times still feel the slowness during boot up).Nevermind, just finish reflash, rebooting now, hopefully all ok. ok, for the the first flashing of 7.1, i can't install quick system info, the phone will reboot automatically. After the reflash 2nd time, all things seems ok now. I installed quick system info and check, my 1GB ext3 is also about 770++MB free. I think maybe it is normal coz some system file should be installed inside. I restored apps using MyBackUp Pro and have swap 0, that's the only difference. I suspect ur problem was caused by restored using Titanium Backup. Anyway, great to hear that u have solved the problem. Just installed DJ Droid mod colorful icons and notification bar This post has been edited by bryan_823: Sep 1 2010, 12:04 AM |

QUOTE(akachester @ Sep 1 2010, 10:01 AM) I tried formatting my SD again yesterday which has an EXT partition. Apparently, i made a mistake last time saying you can just format like that Yea, I had the same problem with you when trying to format my 16GB SD card (Had ext3 partition on it). The ext3 partition only visible via a card reader, but fortunately I managed to delete partition from Disk Management and then formatted it.. After fully formatted, I have 14.9GB out of 16GB, not sure if I have fully cleaned all the partition though as I dont remember what is the space available when I 1st bot the SD card Tried to follow the way recommended before but apparently, it won't work. You cant just go into Disk Management and remove volume, as there is only 1 volume (If you plug in directly via USB cable). You need to remove your memory card, plug in via card reader, and only then the EXT3 partition will be visible as Unallocated Partition. However, for some reason i could not remove that volume. All i did was to connect it into a Linux machine, and format it. It is still showing 6.9GB after that (from a 8gb card), and only when i plug back into my phone and format the SD from the phone, it shows back 7.5GB with no EXT partition. Anyone have any easier way to do that? Any other way to make sure there is no partition on an SD card beside from the Disk Management in a PC? Added on September 1, 2010, 10:16 am QUOTE(maliqu3 @ Sep 1 2010, 10:08 AM) Try SlideIT Keyboard instead of Swype. it doesnt take a lot of internal space like swype after u install it. so SlideIT is better than Swype. I used both SlideIT and Swype before and yes SlideIT occupies less space, but I feel Swype is more intelligent in recognizing what we trying to swype, I often get "??" when swyping using SlideIT This post has been edited by bryan_823: Sep 1 2010, 10:16 AM |

QUOTE(KTCY @ Sep 1 2010, 02:48 PM) wow Actually, we dont need a computer for FLASHING ROM right? (As long as we have the ROM files on SD card) We need to connect our Desire to a computer only if we were to ROOT using unrevoked method, am I right? If yes, then I can upgrade my laptop to Win7 64 bit since my Desire is already rooted (Unless I wan to unroot and root in the future laa..) |

QUOTE(kokifung @ Sep 3 2010, 10:23 PM) hmm.. The link above is the rooting steps, which gives you super user access. You need to install custom ROM with A2SD+ feature only then you able to save apps into SD card.since my desire is empty.. (new) can i just start doing this : http://smarty-money.blogspot.com/2010/07/g...-phone-new.html just follow the step right? then only start download the software i want right? will it auto install the application into SC card or i have to setting.. Have you decided which custom ROM to use? If yes, go and download the zip file. |

QUOTE(akachester @ Sep 6 2010, 09:25 AM) As far as i can see, most of the release are basically some minor bug fixes reported by certain people. Thus, if you do not face any problem on 7.4, i suggest stick with it. Unless those fixes are major ones Ya, agree. Im still using 7.1 (The 1st release of AuraxTSense) and am very happy with it so far. Everything works fine and no auto-reboot or any error when installing apps, thats the most important things to me Just my opinion, if you guys had found a ROM which suits you and does not give any problems, we should reduce the ROM flashing so as to reduce the risks, and minimize the possibility of bricking your phone if you flash a corrupted radio file. |
