erm.. super amoled screen would cost up to rm600 for replacement, not sure for amoled.. where do u plan to repair it?

wierd, european set has already obtained the update, same goes to maxis APAC/SEA set too.. both got froyo already.. urs is AP set? SLCD or Amoled?

honestly i rooted mine and flashed custom initially just because im pissed off with that un-synced video playback issue.. hahaha..

i read on XDA that amoled comes with a specific board and SLCD comes with a different board explaining the hboot drivers and etc.. im not sure actually on this part as im not good at all in terms of hardware talking.. u prefer SLCD or AMOLED?

btw, i didnt see people crying getting SLCD desire.. is it just ok or better? no one commented on the batterylife yet

ive tweeted on my twitter saying maxis hspa was slow at night and surprisingly they contacted me on twitter asking for my details. They called me on the other day saying that my house is located in a remote area from the signal so its just a "best effort" basis line. Unlucky me im having such bad HSPA signal but at my college it was damn good indeed. I managed to get up to 5Mbps speedtest in the mornings when im around my college area.

let us bear in mind that the desire HD is not 3.7inch.. size does matter, unless the HTC Desire Z is gonna be an international release. But bear in mind that the Desire Z has a sliding keyboard too.. only htc desire is 3.7inch without a keyboard..

its a hard comparison btw, AMOLED is more friendly with blacks to batterysave, works well with htc sense.. SLCD native phones have light coloured background and ui to save up power from showing colours.. When we are talking about daily usage, it really depends on what apps u use, how u customize the colours and also web browsing which uses a lot of white indeed compared to blacks..

video playback, games, htc sense ui navigation = amoled friendly
web browsing, certain apps with which backgrounds = SLCD friendly

the former test on batterylife tested on top notch android smartphones showed that SLCD shines and that test and performed by continuous web browsing.. SLCD beats AMOLED and Super AMOLED roughly by 3 extra hours..

Perhaps for HTC Desire and HTC Sense phones, amoled should be better for its UI colours n such.. the GalaxyS itself has a very dark high contrast colours on its UI with less white indeed u will see, purposely designed for power efficiency on super amoled

push for facebook is not neccesary.. but for twitter's mention and private message, i set intervals for its notification cuz i use twitter more like a texting client too.. lol twitter can be very handy indeed...

ive been following android and mobile sites, faster than using a rss feed i must say.. i used to refresh and browse so many android sites daily on my phone.. now i can see all the new updates via twitter.. they even tweet live during events and such.. tweetdeck for android is very handy and great indeed.. not forgetting touiteur but i prefer tweetdeck now


there is a few builds of zenonia.. one is corrupted and one is working. i couldnt remember which one.. try playing another build either newer or older.. either one works well.. the other crashed the phone indeed.. i couldnt even task kill it.. my phone auto reboots when trying to play it..

juice defender dosent work out fine on me i guess.. i see manual customization and setting and ways of using over using juice defender to save battery life..

chill dude, that desire HD wouldnt be so cheap.. ==" .. expected to be around 2700+-.. .. And i guess the HTC Sense update surely come to Htc Desire too

the new chipset uses 45nm technology compared to the 1ghz on nexus one, desire uses the 65nm technology.. less resistors, less silicone, better heat management and such..

HTC Desire will receive the HTC Sense update for sure via OTA updates.. it will come very soon they say.. isnt the Desire a flagship phone ait? they wouldnt leave flagship phone behind for sure..

the wildfire is an entry level.. the HTC Desire is a flagship.. we already know who wins and its a valuable investment indeed

OTA updated is fine, no need to clean wipe unless u are facing a very terrible lag or delay
