Want to ask.

B-line or m-line better?

Friend says m-line has bigger tyres, thus may contribute to higher fuel consumption. B-line has smaller tyre size.

Is it possible to fix reverse sensor if purchase b-line?

The tyre size of M and B-line basically is same, M-line with 14" rim and thinner side wall, while B-line with 13" steel rim with thicker side wall, FC difference due to these are neglegible.

2) i read a lot ppl talk abt full syn oil...what the difference btw full syn and semi syn
3) my car has a lot of sound...front passenger seat got sound like rattling when i speed to 100km, behind got some sound like something loose.anyone experience it?

M line is using 185/60R14 tyre while B line 175/60R13.
So, yes B line have smaller tyre.

But I think the difference of FC is not much.

I see. Going to work soon. Torn between these two specs. What I don't like about b-line is only the absence of its reverse sensor. Others are okay. Thanks! biggrin.gif

Try reaching 3000+ RPM before switching gear. It will sound a bit noisy but smoother.

QUOTE(yngwie @ Sep 18 2010, 05:03 PM)
gear change in saga blm should be at least after 3k rpm. sub 2k rpm gear change is hopeless.
and due to no firewall / noise reduction material installed on saga blm, 5.5k rpm in waja / perdana is similar to the sound of 3.5k rpm on saga blm.
*
Normally i switch gear is around 2k rpm but the power is ok for me, maybe i using a light engine oil. But the problem shouldn't related to a light engine oil ma. One of my friend is a car technition, he ask try not to rev d car so much in low gear to prevent d not smooth in low gear.
i do experience rev more in low gear, d not smoothness become more obvious.

1) MT? AT? 100% city drive? For AT is normal, some even could only reach the range 240~280km; For some MT users also normal because of traffic jam.
2) Fully last 10k km; Semi last 5k km, but proton oil filter could only last 5k km, this is what i could tell u. For futher info, u need to google by yourself
3) lol, this must explore yurself and try to diy solve them yurself, especially door panel noise. Most of us here are diy to solve the noises by ourselves. Going to SC no much hopes icon_rolleyes.gif

doh.gif I used full synt for this time, i plan to change after 8-9k, then how?

Guys, I've had this car for 5 weeks

Millage is at 3800km and is suffering a lot from unable to start the car

Whenever I plug in the key, turn it there's normal engine starting sound then it dies off. Then I try to turn it again, no response at all, though I could hear some sharp electronic sound.

Then I have to unplug it, wait for a min or two, try it again and repeat the process tills it comes to live, oh I did not mention that I have to push the acceleration peddle so only it could start. I've sent to check twice and they say no problem mad.gif but it is quite obvious there is a problem and it's giving me headache everyday

Any idea what's wrong so the next time I send to check I could at least tell them to check at specific areas?

Thanks

Hi guys.. I'm driving a Myvi. Wanted to service my car, went to a workshop just now. Asked the mechanic about the difference of full and semi syn oil. The guy told me that fully sin oil last 7 km only shocking.gif and semi lasts 5km as expected. He says he uses Shell engine oil. The price for full syn oil including service charge is rm200++ and rm99 for semi syn. Are the things said by him considered true?

Thanks in advance for the answers guys notworthy.gif

Gear shift in between 2.4 - 2.6K rpm is ok for me. Quite smooth.

If I rev above 3K regularly my petrol consumption will skyrocket. Its already crappy at 20 cents/km.

i thought mine only at 0.20cent/km...

Today I brought to Proton Edaran, they check & say is something to do with the plug for the key, the ring antenna or something.

No ready stock for replacement though & covered by warranty.
