QUOTE(ayrton @ Aug 13 2010, 09:27 PM) I got something to ask you guys, there's one small white indicator on C-PL right? So if that indicator is at 0° means it's the same like without attaching a polarizer at all? And, I am wondering whether to buy a UV filter for a 35mm f/1.8G or just attach a C-PL to it? I think CPL is more suitable for u to take in bright condition where there is nice skies and green grass i.e. I think u still need a UV filter for normal usage.

I see, thanks. I am using a Pro Tama UV on my 18-55 and it seems quite susceptible to scratch. Normally I only wiped it with those smooth fabric cloth (used for glasses those kind). How much do a Hoya one normally cost? 52mm, not Pro1 series.

My friend got his 58mm for rm50.

QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Aug 13 2010, 10:09 PM) that's dust on your sensor or mirror... No need go Nikon centre clean, just get a blower, detach your lens, do a mirror lock-up (can do this in menu) to lift the mirror and blow air upwards into the sensor. Just don't touch the sensor, only blow. then the dust will be gone, most probably. Unless it's a sticky dust which cannot be blown off, then u need to send to service centre. it cant be blown off...and from what i can c, its like a dot of water mark...so any1 know the price for sending for cleaning in Nikon service center?

Last time my friend dropped her D5000 and had the filter penetrate through the front lens element. She sent it to Times Square and paid RM300++ for the repair fee and it takes only like 1 week. So, maybe, just maybe, sensor cleaning might be cheaper.
