Actually if it is 1:1 magnification, any lens with 1:1 magnification the image would look the same size.

Yup yup just different is the distant... unless u are talking 5:1 magnification... than that will be different story

Don't worry too much about the filter. All UV filters degrade the image quality only more or less so. It is mainly for scratch protection for the lens.
