D5000 got ISO 1200 ? I thought from 800 straight to 1600, no ?

D90 ISO at 1600 still acceptable.

I don't trust third party as there will always be issue eg connection / triggering and etc.
But di866 is good. Metz also not bad. YongNuo ? My friend and I take it as wireless flash. Throw it even at road side

24-105mm ? My friend uses Sb--600 which has 85mm only on 200mm lenses, no problems at all. My few birding friends uses SB-800 with 600mm, no problem also.

That's not the factor. The reason I say it isn't good because slow recycle time and also incorrect TTL most of the time. Well, you can choose to use manual la. But the manual power also cacat. Just a few level. Not that I can choose like 1/16 power with -1/3 or -2/3 power.

So, better spend on something better instead of spending twice and regret later !!

Yes indeed. I just voice out that I feel it isn't a good flash. On budget yes. For good flash, it's far away from good.

85mm G is slower than D version. I mean focusing of course.
And 50mm G, too slowe than D version. But this one tested on D90 body la.

Only D300s it's slightly different. D3/D700 is fast. Tested.

D300s / D700 / D3 and above all focusing motor is better than D90.

Nope. On D90, D is faster. But D300s above, G is no longer as slow as focusing on D90.

Try out yourself if you're confusing with my words. I been playing with it

Like I said, you SHOULD try out.
Even it's driven by the lens motor but the auto focus modules on the camera body makes it different.

Who say it will be consistent ? I find it a little vary on FF body.

Talk so much also no use. This thread user can only use G lens. Forget about the D version.

I already said and stated it clear mate. He don't get it.
What I was saying is 50mmG on semi pro body perform better than on D90 due to the AF module and also the camera body performance.
It isn't merely lens itself although it comes with SWM on the camera.

And the last sentence I add in to tell that D can AF on lower end camera body (which I know most of the user here already know about it).

Sigma 30mm f/1.4 , Sigma 50mm f/1.4, Nikkor 35mm f/1.8, Nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.4G
All these lenses can AF on D40/D40x/D60/D3000/D3100/D5000.

D3100 is a replacement for D3000 IIRC.
