QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Oct 5 2010, 10:02 AM) Unless they come out with new sensor technology..... I heard Nikon is getting sensor from Sony actually, dunno how true is it.... hmm QUOTE(celciuz @ Oct 5 2010, 10:03 AM) Currently can be considered the best entry level in terms of IQ, but sad thing is cannot use the cheap 50mm f/1.8D with AF lol. U can save the money of getting higher end body to get the 50mm 1.4G dy.... hahaa..... buy D3100 + used 50mm 1.4G = D90 kitThis post has been edited by Kent3888: Oct 5 2010, 10:30 AM |

Yes, Nikon sensors are from Sony. But I think the newer ones seems to be built by Nikon themselves. Not too clear on this fact either.

Guys and girls, I need some help. Technical problem here.
Wanna ask you all who are using lenses with M/A feature. Does your M/A ring still rotates even if it reaches the focus limit either at infinity or closest focus? I got my brand new 35mm f/1.8G last month and now I am a little paranoid about the focus ring on this lens. The ring still moves around if I apply a little bit more force on it. Even when it reaches the focus limit, either at infinity or the closest focus distance. Is that just normal? Or I am thinking too much? Please help, thanks. |

But never mind, I got it clear, it's nothing. Been trying with my friend's 35mm and 18-200mm VR.I am just a lil paranoid.
