by feeding more voltage into chipset,
u can push fsb further sometimes when you reach max fsb without any voltage to the vdd(chipset voltage), u cant go futher....but adding maybe 0.1 or 0.2 volts u can go higher it depends relaly on your rams wether they are able to go to that level. but with all hardware, more voltage leads to shorter lifespan |

by increasing voltage to the chipset..which is the Northbridge, it will help u achieve that mhz u want to squeze out.
try achieving maximum fsb stable under prime, increase vdd voltage, and pump 2-3 more mhz..it should be stable....(this is theory ..i dono how much would you be able to get out of your board..try yourself) |

Hi there,
What should I do to OC this system?: AMD Barton 2500+/1.8Ghz Unlocked with Stock Fan Abit NF7-S rev 2.0 (Bios D27) Apacer 256MB DDR266 x 2 (dual channel) Nvidia Riva TNT2 Seagate 40GB PATA 7200RPM Casing + Psu 400Watt Ayam Brand I prefer not to do any physical modd to the mobo. It is too risky for me. I prefer to use the original Bios. I just want to fully utilized my unlocked Barton. I need suggestion on RAMs, and PSU. Thanks BTW. is anyone selling mobile Barton??? |

QUOTE(yahooo @ Apr 10 2006, 01:21 PM) Ok. What is the good ddr400. if ur into overclocking ur rams. get a good one, like techno fanatics said,Apacer or Kingston? Corsair expensive laa.. Ok AGP I can find one.. no problem.. How about power supply?. find a good VAlue ram with GOOD CHIPS.. QUOTE if value ram,any brand should be ok but must be overclockable chipset like BH5,BH6,D43 SAMSUNG TCCC, UCCC , for the D43 , get a BT-D43 or DT-D43if u have the budget. go for performance ram... for PowerSupply, i wud reccomend to get something higger than 350watts. I read somewhere in ABIT NF7-S Manual, the minimum requirements for the mobo is 350watts. so u can get a 420 wattts or 450 watts truepower GOOD LUCK |
