u mean ur mb is nf7 but flashed with nf7-s,is it?

All NF7 and NF7-S BIOSes are the same.

no laaa..not the same..nf7-s v2 has a D in the bios file..the one i flashed with don't have D..that's the problem...help....

It's the same. All the modded BIOS I have been using are NF7-S BIOSes. If you check Abit's website, the source of the BIOS file for the NF7 and the NF7-S are the same.

Check OCForums.com, they don't have separate sections for the NF7 and NF7-S, because they are all the same.

Maybe you have flashed a v1.2 NF7 BIOS to your V2.0 motherboard?

BTW: faulty hapen when your mobo is v2.0 and flash with BIOS for lower version mobo!

ok..that could be the problem then..coz when i booted up the machine..even when i change the fsb to its default 166 clock..it still detects as 100..how come?but when i switch the processor to my old KT4AV board it detects it fine as at 166..help..

why dun u just flash back with the correct bios then?

that is the problem, i can't ,when i use abit flash menu it says bios rom is write protected,then i try to flash using floppy it says not Award bios..if i could easily flash it like u said, i wouldn't be asking for help then would i?

i nearly 99.99% do that ,,,,, get from abit site ,,,,,,,,,,i tot it wuz the latest!

this is the freaking bios i wrongly used waaaaaaaaaaaa.. >>NF7-S2 = NF7215

when i shud be using sumthing like this one >> NF7-S v2 = NF7D27

all nf7 bioses are same. i have conform it myself by changing nf7-m bios to my nf7-s v2(because i flash bios for nf7-s v1.x when i suppose to flash it using bios for nf7-s v2.0). it even can detect sata drive.

try to boot our pc using cd-rom and flash it via cd. to do that, using nero, create boot cd and burn the cd with the flash file, on your pc and flash it using dos. good luck.

but she put the nf7-s2 not nf7-s v2 lah.

yup NF7-S2 the new type mobo != NF7 v2.0 and NF7-S v2.0 series.(WATCHOUT)
