i got the maps from my bro act, i'll try to look in the web. the map folder named Navisea and placed in internal SD. i'm using JM2 currently

@ Crossover - Yes I am from India and downloaded DDJG4 via Kies.

After the upgrade, even after trying various settings to enable Vibrate in the settings and the UP & down Volume button and also through Sound Manager Application, my phone still does not vibrate for calls or messages...

Any help or inputs from your side to resolve this??

I hv been using GPS function in SGS and it's a blast!

OK....

Follow this steps which i hv also followed.

Taken from --> xda-developers

* Step 1 -- Open menu > settings > Location & Security. Uncheck the box next to "Use Wireless Networks"

* Step 2 -- Open the dialer (the phone button) and enter the following: *#*#1472365#*#* . Then press "send" to open the Vibrant's LbsTestMode menu.

* Step 3 -- In the LBSTestMode menu, press “Application Settings” and change “Operation Mode” to “MS Based.”  <-------- put in MS Based EVENTHOUGH you dont have 3g
*** Here, i use Standalone mode as i do not hv 3G. If u hv 3G.
*Step 3.1 -- Some change the accuray to 100 instead of 50 but it will make your gps not that accurate. but i see no change in getting lock even 100 or 50


*3.2 -- make sure skyhook is on and dynamic is on

* Step 4 -- In the LBSTestMode menu, find “SUPL/CP Settings” and change the SERVER & PORT to supl.google.com and port 7276 (DO NOT use www. in front of supl !) <----- change the Server FQDN Type to AUTO CONFIG

* Step 5 -- Reboot your phone.

* Step 6 -- Open menu > settings > Location & Security. Check the box next to "Use Wireless Networks"

*** NOTE: Enabling GPS to use wireless is useful if u hv 3G.


If you want to reverse these changes, the original specs are:

Operation Mode: Standalone
SERVER: www.spirent-lcs.com
PORT: 7275

Im using Galaxy i9000 now, before Im on Blackberry Plan (3G+BIS) so now Im switching to Andriod so do I need to changed my plan with my Telco?

Or I just continued use it? Please advice, Im new to Andriod Market. TQVM

guys..i did the setup on both...but again its failed to lock a satellites...i dunno whether i am wrong or my SGS have a fault..but i will try until tired..LOL...the first setting is default in my DXJG4...FYI i use GPStest apps to test the SNR and satellites...maybe my setting is wrong i guess...hehehe

Kepada pelanggan maxis, berhati-hati penggunaan data untuk bulan pertama jika tarikh bil dengan tarikh line diaktifkan tidak sama.  Penggunaan data tidak dikira untuk sebulan tetapi mengikut hari.  Contohnya jika melanggan pakej 500 MB, sehari hanya boleh menggunakan 10 MB sahaja.  Jika pakej 1.5 G, sehari hanya boleh menggunakan 50 MB.  Jika lebih daripada itu untuk sehari, maka akan dikenakan 10KB=10 sen.  Itu yang terjadi kepada saya walaupun saya mengaktifkan line pada 12 hb julai tetapi tarikh bil ialah pada 10 hb.  Saya telah dikenakan bayaran tambahan untuk data sebanyak RM67.00 bagi penggunaan yang lebih selain RM78 bagi pakej bundle sedia ada. Sedangkan dari 12 julai hingga 10 ogos saya hanya menggunakan 484MB.  Ini merupakan satu ketidakadilan kepada pelanggan kerana perkara ini tidak diberitahu semasa mendaftar.  perkara ini hanya berlaku untuk bulan pertama sahaja kerana selepas bulan kedua, penggunaan akan dikira untuk sebulan. I have also subscribed to Maxis Data plan for my new SGS....from the story I read in this forum the way Maxis charges the data usage is scary...

I have 2 questions, hopefully some sifus can advise me:

1) Is it true that Maxis monthly data plan usage is divided into daily limit? Like that susah to monitor leh!!!

2) To monitor data usage, is 3G Watchdog or Netcounter more accurate?

got a question for all d sifus here, if I get a SGS from Maxis with the 12 months plan, I need to pay Rm 1699 for the phone. So if I cancel or terminate the agreement immediately, how much do I have to pay? RM 500?

If its like that RM 1699 + RM 500 = RM 2199 is still cheap for Ori SGS.

Guyz.. I tried to install some games into my SGS using APK files.

After i install the game.. i launch the app.. its all black or all white.. but i can see words and hear the background music..

I used the same apk file in HTC Legend and everything is running fine.. So what could be the issue here and how to solve it?

*I tried 3 games: NFS: Shift, The Sims, Dungeon Hunter, Fifa 2010.
