QUOTE(Mavik @ Oct 18 2010, 07:38 PM) The ABT house is trying to get an agreement with VW Malaysia so that whatever mods that people get from their shop at Glenmarie would not void the warranty and this includes the Stage 1 upgrade to 190bhp. Cergaz is setting up a mod centre within their complex for oettinger. Thus that will be the official authorised mod centre for them. So i believe at that point.. warranty shudn't b an issue ...

QUOTE(mikelee @ Oct 19 2010, 10:16 AM) Thanks for the info, guys. This is great news for current and future VW owners. Head over to Cergaz. During my last visit there which was last weekend, there is a GTI test drive unit there. Since you already loved Rocco at first sight, keep that RM20k for maybe some mods in the future and get the Rocco. The stage 1 upgrade doesn't come cheap though, in Singapore is about SGD2k+. You could also maybe look into upgrading the headunit to RNS510. yah they hav the GTI and oso rocco 2.0 test unit. tested both previously when i bought my TSI. This weekend or next they'll reg their rocco 1.4 as a test unit as well

QUOTE(Max1979 @ Oct 19 2010, 12:31 PM) Sweeeeet news - I may have to drop by Cergaz Autohouse this weekend then They are located in TTDI right? Yan did you get a Rocco 1.4 TSI? How's it been like driving it for an extended period of time? Added on October 19, 2010, 12:33 pmThanks for the heads up Mike Hmmmm I wonder how much it will cost to upgrade the headunit? Its much better then the standard one that have in the Rocco 1.4 and GTI here in Malaysia - however I suspect it wont be cheap nope i bought the Golf TSi instead coz tho the rocco is sleek and nice but not practical and furthermore with the added rm30k i can mod the tsi to a super power machine coz both of em sharing the same engine so dun think i'll burn rm30k to get the looks while sacrificing the performance i can get with 30k worth of mods.

QUOTE(mikelee @ Oct 19 2010, 03:18 PM) What's next in your mod list? Interior or exterior upgrade? tomorrow i'm doing the Sierra Glow at Summit with Mr. Chong. next i'm gonna get the brake caliper painted red ... then getting bodykit for the TSI... looks to manja already .. need a bit more garang feel esp the front bumper and possibly getting it fitted with twin-pipes. Then a small fin like the Rocco. ECU would be last i think ... still quite happy with the power n balance of FC.

QUOTE(mikelee @ Oct 19 2010, 03:32 PM) Nice, impressive list of upgrades. I like the red brake caliper ala GTI style. How about the R LED tail lights? Definitely will make your Golf more "garang". nolah wun get those.. too expensive man .. i think 2.5k above .. wat i'll do is to tint the rear lights ala GTI. i think that shud b ok already .. 2.5k above.. i'd rather spend on the HU. the blue really ugly .. they shud hav sticked wit the white / black similar to the MFD.

QUOTE(attacusatlas @ Oct 19 2010, 04:26 PM) golf and rocco, both 1.4tsi sure or not ? ipad ka ? so has other free gift like free service + tinting ? coz i think that amount also similar to getting 1 ipad. i got mine free tinting (3M) + 1st service FOC. the promotion then was either 2 FOC srvice, 1foc service+3m tinting or free blackberry / iphone. i think all works up to abt rm2k++. QUOTE(DannyOP @ Oct 31 2010, 04:58 PM) I tested both the Golf and Scirocco 1.4.. I'd say Golf is more practical but Scirocco looks more sporty. Too bad the Scirocco is selling so expensive compared to the Golf.. in the end I opted for a BMW Z4 since performance and looks it beats the Scirocco. how much the z4 ?

well i'v did the sierra glow thingy 1mth after taking my TSI. So far so good but it doesn't prevent the build up of watermarks.. Not sure whether SG suppose to prevent those or not ..coz i can c the watermarks esp on my bonnet. I remembered PPS will elimiate most of the watermarks each time u go for the rejuvenation session.
