QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Aug 13 2010, 09:49 AM) lol ... see??? it's all sheep's fault!! agreed.sunderland need strikers, and with a loan move they practically saved some quids.wellbeck can perform just as good as any forward but only thing hindering him is the ones he has in front of the pecking order at united.Maybe one of the criteria for the loan was more first team appearances, which prompted the sale of Jones. From the Sunderland prespective, they're probably hoping Welbeck will do a Campbell. All 3 parties benefit either way. True. I'm thinking either Welbeck really has plateau-ed, leading to him being loaned in the hopes that more competitive appearances will force him to improve enough to challenge the first team, or he is Mancunian through and through, which makes it safe to loan him out rather than Macheda. Macheda's not a local boy, so it would be better to keep him close to the Manchester United setup, so that his loyalties won't get swayed. Don't want another Rossi. but with his new club he challenge their seniors.tho the pecking order at united will change next season and by then i bet he will be ready. QUOTE(alien2003 @ Aug 13 2010, 10:40 AM) With The Kid officially loaned to Sunderland, they now have 5 former/current Reds in there: Bardsley, Richardson, Higginbotham, Campbell, Welbeck thats just sunderland QUOTE And on to United related stuffs, with Bebe staying, looks like I signed up for that MUTV/HyppTV thingie just in time. I'd wanna see him in the reserves and how he performs. perks of staying in europe kah??btw where are staying now?? Added on August 13, 2010, 5:05 pm QUOTE Boss happy to take Bebe steps http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid=...&newsid=6651360Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that new signing Bebe will compete for a berth on United's wings, but insists there is no rush to throw the 20-year-old into action. Echoing David Gill's sentiments that the youngster's talent needs honing and refining, Sir Alex is keen to initially focus on Bebe's assimilation to English life. With a variety of established and promising wingers already in place at Old Trafford, the United manager is happy to take his time. "He's quick, two-footed, raw material but I'm sure we can work with that," Sir Alex told his pre-Newcastle press conference. "He doesn't speak any English so we'll provide him with a language teacher. "The most important thing is to settle him into the club. We don't need to rush him because we have plenty of players in his position like Nani, Valencia, Obertan, Cleverley and Giggs." The signing of the almost unheard-of Portuguese striker stunned football, and Sir Alex has confirmed that the deal was struck largely due to the impulses of United's scouting network, allied to growing interest in the player from other major clubs. "Normally we'd assess a player over a long period but we have a good scout in Portugal and we trust his impulse," admitted the manager. "Other clubs were starting to hover so we decided to go for it." fergie on bebe.apparently he is marked for a winger in our squad, the next #7??or dare i say the next holder of the wizard's number?? united may just keep on scouting for players in portugal and bring them to the club to build em up like what they did to ronaldo, nani and now bebe
dont know why though but when i look at bebe, he reminds me of nani, valencia & obertan. this guy either have one of the same talents on these 3 players or his just another promising youngster like hernandez. i actually cant wait to see this guy play now. im more anxious to see him play compared to hernandez when i 1st heard that united signed him. read the news just now and when i saw he scored 40 goals in six matches, i was like what ? no way! i dont know how easy, average or tough the Football World Championships was, but it wont be the level he played compared to the league or the big champions league tournament still cant get it out of my mind on this shocking signing. i wish him good luck at united and hopefully he'll be worth at the end of the day. a video i found below, thought you guys might like it. enjoy! I already posted the chant. sinoffire use it as his sig edi and that Ozil on Utd website news already posted many times edi. The MU website admins say they keep a page for every player they are linked with. Apparently it's their SOP and you can find many other players in there. E.g. Casillas, etc. Did you manage to find it? I'm not sure if this is the correct website. I can't check since my office blocks everything. www.hypp.tv/manutd/ Have fun. Monday start is a blessing
QUOTE Sir Alex Ferguson says it could be a blessing that United's first game of the season against Newcastle is on a Monday night, as it will give his players additional time to recover from the midweek internationals. Several players were on international duty in midweek, including Ji-sung Park travelling to Korea, Javier Hernandez playing against Spain in Mexico, and Rafael travelling to the USA for Brazil's friendly match. All three players have returned to Carrington with their fellow international Reds and will train with the rest of the squad today. But Sir Alex has made clear to his men that it is imperative that United are quick out of the traps. "The game being on Monday is a blessing after our players' midweek travels," the Reds boss told reporters on Friday morning. Javier Hernandez was over in Mexico, Ji-sung Park in Korea, Rafael da Silva in the States for Brazil, Jonny Evans in Montenegro, Nemanja Vidic in Serbia. They’ll train today. "In a normal situation, you’re wondering how they’ll be when they come back and you’re having to wait until the Friday morning to see how they are for the game on the Saturday. But now we’re not playing until Monday, it gives us a couple of extra days to prepare. So I think it’s a bit of a blessing for us." "The other way of looking at it is that all our major competitors could win on Saturday and Sunday, and you don't want to start the season three points behind your rivals." United know the dangers of early-season defeats to newly-promoted teams, of course, having lost away to Burnley in the second game of the 2009/10 campaign. So Sir Alex knows Newcastle pose a serious threat. "Last season we went to Burnley and lost," recalls the boss. "You’re always wary of a team that’s just been promoted because their motivation is obvious. Newcastle – what were they last season? I think they were a team of great work ethic and the manager takes terrific credit. "[Chris Hughton] wasn’t everyone’s choice to be Newcastle manager, but he did a great job," Sir Alex continued. "He had to deal with all the financial constraints and he sold a lot of players but created a bond with the players he had and they all fought to get out of the division. So I think we’ll find on Monday that Newcastle will come and battle. That’s the first thing they’re going to do and it won’t be an easy game." http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid=...&newsid=6651358 Boss happy to take Bebe steps QUOTE Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that new signing Bebe will compete for a berth on United's wings, but insists there is no rush to throw the 20-year-old into action. QUOTE(O-haiyo @ Aug 13 2010, 07:56 PM) His old club was once in the top division. Financial problems, got relegated to 3rd Div in 08/09 and stayed there last year too? They sign him somwhere in between those where he was a regular last season. Then 5 weeks back a team in the top division bought him for a very cheap price. He impressed in pre-season friendlies with lots of scouts present.. and there was 4 clubs who was interested or made a bid for him according to the president including us with one 'rumoured' to be Real Madrid. He chose us over the others. |

Manchester United star Neville puts diesel in petrol friendly Audi Q7
QUOTE ANI, Aug 3, 2010, 02.09pm IST LONDON: Manchester United star Gary Neville became the laughing stock of onlookers when he had diesel put in his luxury petrol-driven Audi Q7. According to The Sun, Neville, 35, pumped 60-pounds worth of diesel into his 100,000-pound Audi Q7. When he tried to start it near his home in Bolton, Lancashire, the engine cut out. Neville called his dad Neville for a lift and phoned the recovery firm. An onlooker said: "Everyone laughed because Gary has a reputation for being serious and he was left looking dozy." http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/...how/6251504.cms |
