get a keyboard protector taht has ventilation holes, for me a keyboard protector is a no no, cause the keyboard is where the heat dispenses, if you cover it up then your machine will overheat.

QUOTE(tabs @ Aug 9 2010, 10:08 PM) Hi there, i need some advice regrading the macbook coconut battery issue.. so this is it.. my mbp 15 inch is brand new set but when i download the coconut battery it show that regrading my set has been 3 month.. now the point is i wondering it is refurbish set or just the system error anyone having this issue or anyone can enlighten me? Your Macbook pro is simply being transported, kept in a warehouse before being shipped to you, so all of this takes time, its not like an instant roti chanai. Added on August 10, 2010, 8:00 amQUOTE(Auwen @ Aug 10 2010, 12:33 AM) erm...where can find Macbook black colour??? is it no available in market edy??? better get a macbook white the specs are much more better suited for Snow Leopard, with the graphic card that could take advantage of grand central dispatch. QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Aug 15 2010, 09:39 PM) i dont think so, despite a few people claim it is. if it is IPS, apple would market it as such i think it is, apple buys all their screens at a bulk, the MBA screen is better compared to the MBP 13 and the MB, you can always ask String to comment on this.

QUOTE(Moutzu @ Aug 18 2010, 11:27 PM) Just bought my MBP 15-inch from friendly seller, tabs, yesterday. Last nite I charged it up and now I am using it first. I have been a Windows user for many years and since I bought an iPhone, thought it logical to move to a Mac. Now being a first time user, when I launch Safari, instead of getting a full screen I get a minimised screen. How do I get the full screen?Safari opens a website according to the size the webmaster intended it to be viewed typically 800x600 resolution is the defaults, if you want to make the safari window to fill the entirety of your screen, look at the bottom right of the safari window right below the vertical scroller, you can adjust that.

As far as Creative Suite(Which contains photoshop.illustrator, dreamweaver and so on) it has be available on the mac for many many years. This post has been edited by nimrod323: Aug 20 2010, 08:26 AM

QUOTE(doctorpopcorn @ Aug 22 2010, 12:18 PM) Light photo editing can be done in iPhoto. What for buy iWork for photo editing features? What other 'powerful features' are attracting you towards iWork? why are you discouraging him? there is a trial for iworks let him do his own comparison, IMHO there are many other pros using iworks compared to the free options let him discover it for himself, ultimately its his money that decides the purchase.

I try to play a Bluray ISO, using Win7(bootcamp), and it can play (using 3 different software). One more thing, do u guys know what application can be used to play 3d movie for Mac OS X? is the mbp 3d capable in the first place? i dont think so,its s-ips and not meant for 3d playback

QUOTE(Moutzu @ Sep 5 2010, 12:22 AM) I dunno whether this had been asked b4 or not. I am new to Mac. Previously when I was using a Dell lappy, I will connect it direct to an AC outlet, thus bypassing using the battery. Can I do this with my MBP by connecting the Magsafe Power Adaptor to an AC power outlet? Will this be bypassing the battery in the MBP?this has been the case all this while.

You can search it cheap in eBay, got mine around RM300+ Well you are taking a huge risk then, i have wrote extensively about this before http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/979452#QUOTE(Ojimaru @ Oct 15 2010, 08:03 AM) You got AppleCare from... eBay? check the link above. QUOTE(gurus @ Oct 15 2010, 11:24 AM) u got an acpp from ebay for rm300+ only? they give u just the key rite? its most likely the codes is been sort of like hack and the acpp box is still sitting nicely in one of the apple stores. once a buyer purchase that acpp box and register it, yours will be detected as a fake one. not really sure though but i did read about it previously...something like this la yep wrote this in the mac purchasing guide before. i strongly advise not to get this codes no matter how cheap they are.

QUOTE(imrozx @ Oct 16 2010, 06:46 AM) i never own T.T ACPP so expensive aa... cannot afford to buy one.. so I better save the money to buy next revision... apple... go cheaper on us.. if looking at the trend.. next revision of mbp shuld reduce rm200 moar... ^^; i hope it will. you are contradicting yourself here, if the acpp is expensive then how can you save up to get the next revision? if like that means you can also save up for the acpp, you have 12 months before the acpp expires enough time to save up RM899 for 13inch or 1199 for the 15 or 17inch. I dont think macs are expensive they were before but they are much cheaper now, and i dont want them to slash their prices which might mean they are using cheaper components which are prone to problems, again apple is not competing on affordability its all about customer experience.
