hmm i dont think they'll upgrade so fast as the last time around it took them 10-11 months to upgrade, i would still consider the current notebooks are at their middle cycle or 3/4 cycle mark still, plus there is no rumour that indicates a shortage of portable macs, and with the event so near this is not happening.

Why would one get MBA and install windows 7 on it? You are gonna bloat it real good, no offense rather it stay Mac osx only.

you should discharge twice a month man, you are running down your battery cycle count.

I have a Macbook White (2006), Macbook pro 13 (2009) and Macbook Pro 15 (2009), there are no battery issues with any of them thus far,i only discharge(calibrate) once a month, use the magsafe whenever i'm at home, and when i'm at college i dont use the magsafe.

The question is are you a student or are you not a student, the online store does ask for verification, do not abuse the system if you are not a student, period.

they -> Apple dont make rams, they to hire others like Micron(The biggest memory producer) to oem rams for them which is also the company responsible t supply to Kingston, Crucial and the rest. So i think either way you are save.

obviously, we were talking about macbook airs here, and heck, no salesperson is gonna open up your machine and install some undisclosed ram and charge you a fortune for it, my argument here is simple, all the rams are pretty much made by micron, so even if an official service personnel were to install it, it'l be a part that has been ordered from the Apple Service Exchange, err and last i checked, you can always ask them what RAM they use, typically it'll be KVRs,KTAs,Crucial or Mushkins which share the same chips made by Micron who makes the oem rams called Hynix which can be found inside every mac, ask and ye shall receive. And obviously my explanation to you or the message of it was simple, apple's oem ram are nothing special compared to the third parties that may offer you lower latency chips i.e. KTAs? and if you were in applebyte long enough i have pretty much harped on the benefits of apple online store since its inception and also the benefits of getting your ram outside = cheaper then the CTO option on the online store.

yep we knew this from 10.4 Tiger, the point he is trying to make is, just use it as it is, unless you need some spftware that really is not available on the mac then by all means triple boot if you must.

nah not a chance, early next year, there isnt a tentative date for launches, Sandy Bridge processors are gonna be launched early next year so new macs would be made slightly after that. Just follow the intel processor road map and you'll have a rough idea.
