Acquired the Logitech G510 few days back, updated the macro key software and AVG detected it as malware.... after sent to quarantine, my PC shuts down and I cant go into windows

reinstalled everything (changed the AVG) and use the software on the cd only.... no problems so far... anyone else have this kinda problem???

RM200 budget can get a mech kb?? I doubt it... FYI to Yaozz the G510 is selling for RM219 @ Viewnet so Rm19 extra should be ok gua...

AlexLai is right abt Mech kb, all kb's were mech at 1st... they used plastic domes later cause of the cost anyway if ur looking for a normal backlit kb get the A4tech illuminated kb for RM80 @ Viewnet.... if its still available..

Added on November 10, 2011, 2:17 pmthe G510 is ok, a bit longer than usual Kb out there cause of the macro keys good backlit, lots of colors, and software is very user friendly

but the media buttons are a bit laggy when playing movies.. fine for music though

if ur only looking for backlit maybe the new Logitech G105 can suit u.. this one also has macros but less compared to the G510

Added on November 10, 2011, 2:22 pmthe Sidewinder x4 is a great kb for its price definitely much cheaper than of the G510... as to be expected considering that its quite an old model, less macro keys and backlight is in red only

if ur an MMO / RPG player the g510 should suit u well but if ur more to FPS then the x4 will be just fine imho

well can't say that the G510 is perfect, like I said it does have some issues with my media buttons but I have no problem with the backlit lighting... oh I do hate the restart everytime a headphone jack is plugged in and out though lolx... other than that its all fine for me

well if its only occasionally then even a sidewinder x4 should suffice for ur usage

Sry, never owned a BW before wayy beyond my budget for a KB lol but tried it at the shop briefly... IMHO not much different from normal KB but the clicking sound needs getting used to

depends.... most of us have our keyboards familiarized already.. and looking at the keyboard while playing a fps might cause you to lose a game if ur talking mmorpg then yes we need cause we chat as well

BW should be laser etched IIRC... so I don't think the letters would dissapear.. on my Logi 510 its not rubber coated but it does have a soft-touch treatment on them

well the 510 I have now is quite new so I haven't seen any wear & tear lolz under 6 months and working well for me

so compatible with all Iphones?? cause sooner or later theres gonna be iphone5 /6 /7 etc

lol I guess that will be an issue, not all phones look nice mounted on a KB lolz but wouldn't it be great if the KB can make the display function like the ones on a G15??

depends on what are you looking for..
G105 is just basic backlight kb with macro keys
The G110 has integrated USB soundcard, wristrest and changeable backlit colors as extras over the G105

depends on your needs actually.. for example, if u already have a decent sound card then you will not be using the G110's USB soundcard so thats one feature some ppl will neglect... if you r running low on budget, then there is not much of a choice but to go for the G105... or maybe you are not confident in older products so the G105 may be a better solution... etc etc...

main thinsg is "what are you looking for?" the specs are there, the choice is yours

Never seen it in person, not even sure that its even in the local market bro lol so I don't have much of an opinion on that

Lotsa people used mech KB for gaming, claims to have better feedback and enhance their precision, typing on is is pleasant as well but the price tag is higher than those of membrane keys and they are usually noisier too,

why don't you go to the mech KB thread and ask there?
