I don't think TS is watching this thread anymore sad.gif . BTW I'm looking for more reliable keyboard for gaming, budget RM 100-200(can add more if I cut budget for summer sales),no need bling-bling anymore. Currently using OCZ Alchemy.
*
Well.. for reliability can trust Logitech IMO.. the G105 has green LED backlighting and 6 macro keys over 3 profiles, at about RM190 its probably worth it

Sidewinder x4 hard to find? Obsolete? I think I'm more confident for Logitech between those two. How about other brand?
*
not sure about the G110, but if you're looking at Logitech they do have a backlit keyboard that they claimed to have silent keystrokes wink.gif search for Logitech Illuminated Keyboard

Steelseries have the keyboard I want or not with my current budget? Silent? Hmmm... I don't have the chance to try because no time to go to shop. So, I ask from forumer and order from LYN.
*
I don't actually see SS building a quiet KB before.. but if its anything, their mech kb are tough and heavy.. very solidly built from the feel of it at the shop... they do have the Merc, and shift series as well very rare u can find shops that have them... SS is more to mouse, headphones and gaming surfaces lately

How about G510? I heard it's RM 210.

Added on July 12, 2012, 10:46 amI'm a Logitech fan so I think I'll go for Logitech
*
Currently using the G510 wink.gif

key sound is normal i guess, being rubber dome and all, the back-lighting is ok for me... not that I have other to compare it with but its sufficient to type in the dark wink.gif build quality is solid for a plastic build

the G-keys is good but the KB is longer than most in this aspect so it'll take some time getting used to the extra keys on the left side. The media keys on the right is good but depending on what software you use it with, there may be some lag... vlc is no problem so far

software is easy to use but could use some more updated games.. otherwise just create one form scratch wink.gif the display is limited to the apps but IINM you could install additional apps for the display... haven't tried it yet so far.. some games like Dragon Age can display your character stats like life, mana etc.... oh yeah... MSI AB can be displayed there too icon_rolleyes.gif

if there are any qualms about the G510 is that it will restart itself whenever you plug in a headphone/mic so there is a waiting time of about 5secs before you'd hear any sound

the G110 have less macro keys and no lcd.. other features look the same and the keys are the same IINM.... you could compare them side by side as most shops will have both models on their shelves

my budget is only around rm100.
so which keyboard is the best?
preferable wireless. anyone?
*
Err.. if its not for gaming maybe you could try the Logitech K270?? its a basic one at RM69.. you could also look around for keyboards from Gigabyte & Rapoo which are normally cheap compared to the other bigger brands

Hey everyone, the Logitech G105 really caught my eye with its feature for that price. I'm wondering how does it feel ? Any G105 user here?
*
the G105 is quite well-known and is usually displayed out for people to try on the shelves of a lot of shops in LYP ... if not you could always request from the Salesperson to let you feel the KB before buying wink.gif

Guys, any gaming keyboard which is spill-resistant and the price around rm 30 - rm 100?(List me few)

TQ.
*
Should be a few thats in the market... but spill-resistant feature is not many of us would focus in here and is very dubious as none of us would try to test that feature tongue.gif most kb will have that as a default nowadays IINM

I would suggest that you look into the Shops and have a look around.. for that kinda budget you are spoiled for choice I'd say... but if you could, stick to well known brands like Microsoft or Logitech to be on the safe side wink.gif

Sorry to tell you this but you have been conned... the G510 sells for RM219 in LYP since last year when I got mine, practically everything is overpriced in the IT fair.. very dissapointed... and BTW the G110 should be still available in LYP as well

hi guys.. planning on buying a keyboard.. thinking between roccat isku and steel series merch stealth.. btw, illuminated vs non-illuminated keyboard, any differences? Thanks..
*
Go for the isku if you want, the merc stealth is an old product

But, what's your budget range? And what kinda games do you usually play?

budget around rm300 boss max.. as for the games.. i play a lot of different games.. FPS games, rpg games, MMORPG.. basically on any games i can get tongue.gif
*
On that range, you could get the Logitech G510 as well but seeing that you are currently using roccat mouse, going with the isku might be a better idea. I'm not too sure if roccat has their hard wares integrated when used together but if it does then that will add more functionality to your peripherals

can you give some example of macrokey keyboard
*
Logitech G105, G110 and G510, Microsoft X4, are some, basically it means having the ability to record certain combination of keypresses and/or mouse clicks into one key to be pressed at your convinience

imagine you have to press Ctrl+shift+P for a certain function in.. lets say.. Adobe Premier or photoshop... mapping those keypresses into a single key will definitely save you a lot of time especially if you're using it a lot

same with games, especially MMORPGs when you have tons of skill combination that you'd wish to use nod.gif

Well most are monochrome but there are a few that has color, and you gotta have deep pockets to own then as well

Logitech G19 and the Starwars keyboard are 2 of the most well known for this feature
