there are two types of blackwidow, standard and ultimate edition, standard has no backlight, ultimate has backlit

standard is 79 usd, same price as imperator i think so shouldnt bee far from 200-300 hopefully.

i wonder where u all get those prices from, cos that doesnt look like what ban leong prices are...which means its a parallel import set...which may mean a nice expensive rma process if anything happens.

Eager to change my keyboard today don't think can wait til BW arrives plus I'm used to my current backlighting so I'm not sure whether I can live without one!

My budget is below 300 so definitely I'm thinking of g15, g110 or perhaps lycosa mirror, just that I'm too indecisive.

About trying all the keyboards one by one I don't think its possible because alot of shops do not have a demo set so I doubt they'll open one for you to try!

all the following is my personal opinion....

i hate that keyboard... its good for normal use...daily typing etc... but macro wise and wat not damn stupid.. got volume control but no mute button.. another stupid thing..

which is why i said RM80...coz thats the MAX i would pay for that keyboard.. thats how much its worth to me...even that oso i still think twice about buying that keyboard..

even then oso there might be something better in the form of Dell's Multimedia Keyboard for a little more. not a gaming keyboard... but damn good keyboard for daily use.

Added on September 9, 2010, 4:45 pmoh...and personally...id spend abit more money and get the Logitech G110 instead.

Hurm.. Mechanical KB is tempting but the price is not. tongue.gif

Anyway, I don't really like lycosa and prefer G110 and I think it's worth to spend if the KB priced at RM200. smile.gif Just my 2 cents.

What about the Belkin N52TE? Anybody tried it before? I'm planning on buying it. Is it really comfortable. I do understand that I probably need some time to actually get use to it but will it be really that hard to get use to?

just coz the dood said macros aint important doesnt mean must remove the G15 and G110 from the list...doesnt mean cannot consider.

and it aint complicated... just plug and play...dont wanna use macros then dont use the macros... simple as that...

the G15 is still a VERY good keyboard for typing which suits his criteria for spaced keys and comfort... never tried the G110 but i assume its as good as the G15...
but if willing to get non-gaming keyboard...the Dell Multimedia keyboard is one of the best keyboards ive ever used for typing....can search for it in bulk orders section...allngap selling it.
*
Dell Multimedia keyboard thumbup.gif the keys is firm and solid, unlike those Microsoft keyboards that feel "plastic".
Usually if some kiddies come to my house, I will switch to that kb to avoid them destroying my G15 smile.gif
Up to now I haven't switch back to my G15, the feeling is just godly.

If I'm not mistaken, teh Dell Multimedia kb is based on one of Logitech's kb.

All those reviews I read before stated that is takes time to get used to n52te.

You can take a look at other options like G13 or Ideazon Fang.
