With some of the points he gave, I think he would prefer a mechanical keyboard.
However, if the illumination is important, then have to get the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Elite version which will cost pretty much more.

QUOTE(stanley86 @ Sep 24 2010, 10:21 PM) Thanks for the fast reply guys(sifu).. Retail price:So heres my list now: microsoft x6 (i think i tried this before, it doesnt have that tilt function?) Razer Blackwidow Expert ( No back-light.. hmm ) Logitech Illuminated kb ? emm is this referring to any model such as G11 or G15? Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Elite Actually i have never tested any "mechanical" KB before.. is the feel that really significant? I just dont want that feel of the laptop built in keyboard, i really dislike that kinda of feel lol. Do you guys know roughly the pricing for those above? But i still could google them later.. Any other suggestions would be appreciated sifus.. thanks Microsoft X6 - Not sure Razer BlackWidow Expert (no illumination) - RM299 Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Elite (with illumination) - RM389 Of course you can still get discounts from certain sellers. |

Mechanical keyboards are said to last longer. Since you wanted a more durable and longer lasting keyboard, I think should really consider a mechanical keyboard.

QUOTE(stanley86 @ Sep 25 2010, 08:31 PM) thanks a lot guys.. Alienware, while the brand is very well-known in mobile gaming laptops, if you ask me then I would say I wouldn't invest in their gaming peripherals. Maybe I don't quite trust them yet, there isn't a lot of demand for their gaming peripherals also as far as I know. I saw the Alienware keyboard. In garage sales got someone selling the keyboard and mouse below 400, do you guys think its worth it? because im searching for a good gaming mouse and mousepad aswell. Anyone using this type of Kb? |

QUOTE(SkYY @ Sep 25 2010, 09:38 PM) i've always cover my keyboard at night before sleep with old cloth. but everyday the dust seems to be increasing in between the buttons where we cant really reach to clean it. what do you guys use to clean the space between the buttons? There's always the CyberClean product. |

QUOTE(TechnoG @ Sep 26 2010, 12:30 AM) overrated Not too keen on Alienware's gaming peripherals. Maybe it's just me.. + the mid of the keyboard lack support, thus making it kinda sink down. Otherwise, colourful backlight. Added on September 26, 2010, 12:32 am actually there is. TactX headset, much cheaper than 5Hv2 |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Sep 27 2010, 09:47 PM) i already put my blackwidow vs 7G comparison up. Many will definitely be asking questions like "Should I buy the BW?" or "Is the BW good?" etc. not really bothered with a full review as theres nothing really much that can be written about mechanical keyboards that hasnt already been done. |

The Sidewinder gives a bit of SteelSeries 7G feel (in terms of the design) in my opinion.

QUOTE(TechnoG @ Oct 1 2010, 11:06 AM) lets say if 7G use the PS2>USB converter, will 7G still have the same performance? The USB will limit it's capabilities.some mobo dont have PS2 port QUOTE When using USB, you can use up to 6 keys plus modifiers at the same time, which is the highest spec limit a USB connection can accommodate. There should be a booth for SS. PLAY Interactive still managed to made an appearance at WCG despite the short period of time for them to prepare.
