QUOTE(Lil Kiasu @ Oct 7 2010, 05:54 PM) Agreed, the BlackWidow is definitely for those on budget or wants an eye-catching keyboard that is mechanical. Otherwise, the SteelSeries keyboards remains on top for performance and durability. |

Well, at least SteelSeries uses cherry black for maximum performance and durability. However, cannot deny that Razer is pretty much on cosmetic though.

QUOTE(perky @ Oct 9 2010, 04:59 AM) Yeah thats y, i can get a 7g for aud 199 while the blackwidow ultimate is retailing around aud 230. I decided to wait for the blackwidow ultimate because of the backlight Another victim to fall for Razer's bling bling. Well, at least that's how Razer market out their products. |

QUOTE(Illiad @ Oct 9 2010, 11:27 AM) Alot of my friend complain about the lack of 7G lack of style since it reminds them of old school keyboard, they say they rather get BW since it looks cooler. I probably go for 7G to match my Xai. Since when SteelSeries ever came up with a design to give users a great bling bling effect? Never unlike Razer. Both the companies hold a different concept in their products. Of course, some will definitely want a Razer since it can give the "WOW" factor when others see it. |

QUOTE(victor2212 @ Oct 9 2010, 11:41 AM) QUOTE(Illiad @ Oct 9 2010, 11:46 AM) Is it as bling as Razer and ROCCAT? Most of their products are plain looking anyway, it is all down to whether the user/buyer would accept their design or not. While for Razer and ROCCAT, I think most people don't really have issues with their fancy design. |

QUOTE(AlexLai @ Oct 9 2010, 03:14 PM) I regard backlighting as something essential for use if there is a need. Bling bling on the other hand are those lightings which seem a bit unnecessary and only adds more aesthetic value to a product. QUOTE(victor2212 @ Oct 9 2010, 03:16 PM) Well, yea depends on how one sees it. SteelSeries did not include any backlighting for their 7G and 6Gv2, so perhaps we could say that SteelSeries didn't think of backlighting as an essential feature? |

QUOTE(Lil Kiasu @ Oct 11 2010, 06:33 PM) or Valo is you can ask to import~ Yea they have put their focus to other categories once the demand for Saitek keyboards were very low. Saitek's a bit old... don't you think? |

It's safe to say that SteelSeries has been making trusty keyboards. It would be interesting to see another brand coming out with a product on par with the SteelSeries keyboards. The BlackWidow should be no match for the 7G apart from the backlighting which many would love.

QUOTE(TechnoG @ Oct 13 2010, 09:00 AM) ROFL. I'll rather get G19 in that case. At that price can already invest in keyboards from SteelSeries which I will definitely would provided that I have that much budget for a keyboard. G19 $175.99 + 9.48 (shipping) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « G510 $109.24 + free shipping. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I think when G19 arrive in MY, the price should be around RM400+. Still a far cry from RM600 I'm not sure about the tax that MY custom will impose. But my Siberia V2 from Taiwan tax only USD1 (based from the documents that come with the package). Looks like the MY customs didn't tax it. |
