Without it you can't even access the AppStore to download the case program app.

Anywhere is fine. You just need to make sure you register the same country as your iPhone originated.

Example if your unit is from SG you need to register a SG iTunes account and have it shipped to a SG address.

hi all, the free case program only valid for purchase made before 30 sept, but can I don't know if they count purchase as order acknowledgment or item delivered?

Maxis launching iPhone 4 tonight... one week before the 30September2010 dateline.

So here's what I'll do...
- Create US itunes account
- Download bumper app
- shipping details to Malaysia address

Am i missing anything?

i did try to change the iTune country to malaysia and launching iTune to download the iphone4 case program.. it said cannot find such program, i guess it's becoz the country is malaysia. If you changed back to US then it's ok.. so it's that ok to create a fake US acc with fake address n shipping to malaysia?

i would like to ask if is it possible to get the free bumper case from an iphone that is bought from malaysia? Im buying it from maxis this weekend.. can i register a us itune account and then apply for the program and send it to my gf's place in us? note that the phone is from malaysia and not united states.. im using malaysia iphone to register us itunes and get the free bumper

go read thru the instructions. why can't you order after the Maxis launch? Steve did say the only condition is buying iPhone4 before Sept 30th.

'Regretfully free case programme will not be made available to Malaysia.'

This is how I got my free Apple bumpers. My phone was purchased from Australia and I registered an Singapore account to claim the free bumper. Of course you need to have someone in Singapore to receive the bumper. In short, it is possible to claim the free bumper from country different than the country you purchase your phone. If Malaysia does not have iphone 4 case app in iTunes, that means we can't get it deliver to Malaysia. Once you got the new phone from Maxis or Digi, quickly claim one and deliver to Singapore before 30 Sept.

In theory that should work but the case now its we don't know for sure if Malaysia iPhones are allowed to claim the case even its shipped to Singapore.

I think someone mentioned few posts back that the app tracks the serial numbers.

But no one knows for sure until some one tries it out. However definitely for sure whether you buy the iPhone from US, AUS, SG, etc you can't ship it to Malaysia.

let's say I create an itunes account... (example) for singapore. Can I change the country of the account halfway? or am I stuck with it and have to create a new account for another country?

No harm to try for whoever that got the iphone from Maxis and Digi before 30 Sept
