it should auto download maps for you. if it doesnt you may delete your map cache folder and (like all the other SEA bastards) go NA to download the maps

Hi all! Slightly off topic, but since there is not a thread for it, i think i'll ask here.
Does anyone here still plays SC:BW?

Some noticeable problems emerge after the new patch. On SP mode I got lesser fps then usual (ultra setting should be 80, now only 30). Some hard difficulties does not show minerals, and grounds sometimes has weird coloring in it.
It might be my drivers but I think blizzard didnt know. Any ATI users having the same probs?

Added on October 8, 2010, 10:19 am100% driver issue. you will need to check out ATI website/and or use beta ATI drivers which provides fixes to your issues

dude, like i said, i wan to noe the minimum to be able to run on ultra setting not for the minimum to run the game...i noe 6600gt definitely cant run on gt coz i have 8600gts also cant run on ultra. so i wan to noe wats the minimum card i need to run ultra on threshold....

i5 and gtx 460/ati58xx 4gb ram with nothing else running in the background with a standard/decent 7200 rpm (raid if you can, nevermind if you cant) and above
the above setup would be 4-5k++ with just cpu only

some other forumers might recommend other more "borderline" but still can go ultra pc specs, but it would be kinda pushing it. then again RTS dont exactly require high FPS, just remember: you pay for what you get. if you paid peanuts, dont expect diamonds.

how high is the FPS u're talking about?? i heard Sc2 fps is like 60??is dat high or low?

I have problems downloading maps..

sometimes they're just damn fast and finish in a second or two
most of the time they're really slow and get stuck at a random % ._.
this is pissing me off, I can't even play a proper mutliplayer match!

that depends on your machine lol. though typically if you can maintain constant 30+ fps and never dips below 20 ever. that *should* be fine for the most part.

it also depends on your monitor,resolution,etc.

i'm using an old 17' monitor (not wide screen), GTS 250, i can run ultra smoothly...
