Greetings. Im having a issue teying to setup my unifi with the Asus  RT-N56U.

The issue would be the DDNS. I got all the other setting done except for this one.

'The wireless router currently uses a private WAN IP address (192.168.X.X, 10,x,x,x, or172.16.x.x). The router may be in the multiple-NAT environment and DDNS service cannot work in this environment.'

What are the solution for me regarding this issue? Thanks.

i was using N56U.. i was having trouble with dns lately.. all connection on the lights modem and router seems fine.. but the dns i was using opendns... everytime i off the router and on back the next day.. i can't connect to internet but iptv and phone is fine.. i have to change back and forth google dns and only working.. it is kinda weird lately..

I read your post here and others test report on your blog. All those reports are informative. I have a question here; can I replace the poor and suck Maxis Fibre Broadband wireless router (from Techicolor) with Asus N66U?

Generally, my issue is I have subscribed the voice from Maxis too, which is connected to the voice port of the Techicolor Wireless router! Now I am trying to setup an Access Point (connecting via LAN to the Techicolor wireless router), to enchance the wireless strength/performance with another router. Can I use N66U to do that? How?

Any other better recommendation from you?

RT-N56U doesn't support yet?

I want to change my current default unifi router to RT-N56U. When doing configuration I do not have the "SELECT ISP" options and IPTV STB Port



As compare with the configuration in KLSEET website


My current router firmware version is 3.0.0.4.374_239. Anyone can advice?

the latest official firmware from Asus for RT-N14U, does it support :

1) built in OpenVPN client support with WebGUI interface
2) Yes Go 4G dongle

i've updated the N14UHP router with the latest version firmware from Asus support - 3.0.0.4.374.4422 - dated 13th Feb 2014.

Now the YES option does appear in the list of ISP if i select Malaysia.

but i am still unable to connect at all -

It asks for these details on the page :

Username :
Password :
Email address :
PIN :

Has anyone successfully used YES Go Dongle on these Asus Routers ?
Is the default PIN 0000 ?

I'm using RT-N16 for about 2 yrs. Recently I noticed that when connected to LAN port, it is only showing 100Mbps instead of 1Gbps.

I had the router update to the latest firmware as well, but still the same.

Is it the board issue?

I noticed there is 2 port having the same result, 1 port was connected to NAS, and 1 port was cascaded to another gigabit switch, both also showing 100Mbps. I tried the same LAN cable used for NAS to connect directly to my PC, it is showing 1Gbps.

i think my brother is abusing my unifi. lately the connection seems like crawling. i think he is doing HD streaming to his pc, download music n movie and mebbe torrent also. i just acquire RT-N66U since i heard good review of this router. how can i setup the router so i can limit his usage without affecting other user in my house? I tried playing with QOS and test it to my tablet. i test speedtest.net but result is high around 4.6MB. i guess i set wrongly. pls help. thankss

Asusmy, thanks for the assistance. Looking at the video, i now understand a bit on QOS. Just to clarify the setting i need to set in the router.

In QOS>> User Define QOS Rules, In Source IP or MAC Column i just put my brother PC MAC address, Priority column I set to Lowest. What about Destination Port, Protocol and Transferred column, do I need to fill anything there?

Once I set, how do I check n confirm whats been set as above is working?

Which is better in terms of performance:-

1) replace the stock Technicolor router with ASUS RT-68U?
2) add the RT-68U as an access point over the Technicolor router?

First of all, is the 1st method possible & has anyone done a similar setup for their IPTV subscription?
