what OT, we're talking about data integrity. image data that could leak into the open if left unsecured/not destroyed. images that could ruin reputations (read: edison's case). images/data that could reveal prototypes or pre-launch products (read: Apple and Gizmodo's case).
what if zstan is an engineer for Sony? Would anyone here dare say 100% he isn't one? What if he's working on something so volatile, that if it got leaked into the market, it would cause an uproar among all digital electronic users? So he's merely asking for a way to dispose of those information securely.. vacation apa... (damn, been watching too much movies lately, too much intel/war/tactical novels) This post has been edited by lwliam: Aug 2 2010, 12:16 AM |

kevinwcw: Yes it would.
zstan: Love #4! That A560 looks more like an A7xx from the dials and buttons. I find it funny though that they would show the prototype in Jakarta since Indonesia has lousy distribution - the F58 was very delayed there! ahpingko: Make sure the flash icon appears in the viewfinder all the time. If not, you'll need to rub the flash contacts with a blue eraser. The reason why the wireless flash effect is not harsh, is probably because of the slower shutter speed in #2 (0.4 seconds!) edwardgsk: Grids always make a great background - wished you pulled the camera more towards you so you get more grid in the background. I like the clarity and clean backgrounds in your bunga kertas and milo shot! 8tvt: Nice moment! |

went to the penang PCFair
the NEX promoter is pretty good, knows her stuff well, explains things well she demoed the anti-motion blur by simulating bump like when one is trying to shoot from a bus/car/truck the shutter went off like machine gun a question to HEX owners here, how does the grip of the NEX3 as compared to the NEX5? |

^HEX hahaha lol! Sorry.
Regarding grip feel, this is quite subjective. I prefer NEX5's grip. It's more bulky and it suits my big hand nicer than NEX3. My (girl)friend's hand pulak, she say NEX3's grip nicer. Apparently her hand is much smaller la. In the end, i think you better go to camerashops or sony centre and try them out yourself and see which one you prefer more. |

mastering, you'll probably hear long lengthy suggestions on RAID when it comes to backup plans.. but i've got 2 Ext HDDs, whether spoilt or not, will get a replacing one when the previous one is nearly 4 years old. then will copy over important image folders over to the new one..

Usually Sony hire a lot young leng lui for promoter one. Some events they have kawaii japanese girl promoter too, hehe AND if you say the NEX shutter is like machine gun already, wait till you hear those 8-11 "bullets" per second punya "machine guns", you won't call NEX shutter machine gun d. NEX's continuous shots a bit slow la. Success rate of capturing moving object for a noob photographer like me will be pain in the a*s This post has been edited by edwardgsk: Aug 2 2010, 04:41 AM |

for me if that data is important..
i would: 1.save in C & D 2.save in memory stick, USB thumbdrive 3. if its a picture, upload to flickr 4. upload to online sharing website (eg.rapidshare, zshare) 5. if there's a lot to save, upgrade to flickr pro and the rapidshare pro. if all crashes at once, then i accept the fact that these data are fated to die. |

edward, if you want to compare d300s, 50D, 1DmkIV or D3x, then of coz those will easily achieve 8-10 fps bursts. But do take a look at the price range. Those that i mention, none come close to NEX or A550 (if you wan compare apple and apples) in terms of price.
