i also don think a850 does a good job in noise department..but to be fair to the camera..the megapixels are huge..obviously that would lead to noisier shots too..

can you guys rent bodies as well?

well... theres always a give and take when it comes to tech stuff...

the a850 maybe noisier but it has almost double the megapixel count of both the nex and the a550.. and both the nex and a550 came later than the a850 hence the improvement in technology.

its still partly hardware for the a850/900's case. coz the pixel density per area is much higher than the conventional 10/12/14 MP sensors in the FF class, the signal to noise ratio is nearly the same as on apsc sensors due to that fact. provided that they made a FF sensor with only 12/14 MPs, then the signal to noise ratio increases dramatically, as each pixel is devoted more to gather light, while still maintaining the same noise level on the sensor.
