ok tq..
since using external flash would depends on the body.. i would like to see the available setting if fitted..
flash like F42 or F58 on A380.. not much info though..
i only can play with built-in flash..
what i notice the slowsync is actually like fill-in flash.. which automatically slowed down the shutter speed..
if i manipulate it using fill flash and M/S mode with slow shutter.. the result is the same..
using slow shutter is nice.. the flash not so harsh.. but cannot freeze the movement..
if external flash can help to produce the better IQ.. and can blend the pic well..
i would like to get one..
purpose of slow sync is to reduce shutter speed so that sensor can capture more ambient light. this can be achieved with using fully manual or aperture priority settings, which what i use the most. it also depends on how fast is your subject moving, slow it is alright, else, use the rear-curtain sync function. a flash is a whole new chapter in photography. its hard to explain and to imagine without having hands on with a flash unit with you. since using external flash would depends on the body.. i would like to see the available setting if fitted..

using fill flash setting doesnt necessary slows down the shutter speed. its purpose is what its name states, to give fill flash, irregardless of the background ambient.
