ieR: Nikon's depth of color? How so? (In fact I find it weak in color expression - when I have the time I'll post the results from a xRite ColorChecker Passport with Canon 1D MkIII, Nikon D300, Sony A900, Sony NEX-5, and a Panasonic GF-1.)
wakakaka, i using old alpha ma, even compare a D90 i also happy with D90 color over my alpha. if i have better (say a NEX), definitely i am more happy with alpha QUOTE(shootkk @ Aug 16 2010, 09:30 AM)
I don't do macro so macro lenses are not for me no matter how sharp or how good the macro capabilities are. I have no need for a 300mm f2.8 lens so it's existence do not add anything to my photography experience. Big, heavy zoom lenses are falling out of favor with me so lenses like the 16-35 and the 24-70 and the 70-200G f2.8 are not very appealing to me. So what does that leave me with - a 50mm prime and I am lusting after the 24mm Zeiss but currently that place is filled by a 20mm prime and I am using a friend's Minolta 24-85mm normal zoom which is just nice. Not too big and heavy. These 3 lenses are enough for me. I might want the newly announced 85mm SAM prime but that depends a lot on the price.
So how many lenses do you really NEED? Do you really have to have every lens in a brand's stable to be able to enjoy your photography? If you have more than 5 lenses you're probably more of a lens collector than a photography enthusiast. Take more pics. Not buy more lenses. A photographer knows how to use the gears he/she has to get the pics he/she wants.

like when i used to be in a small college (repeated story many times), they have the smallest library in the world with only 1500 book... then the whole college student complains (we have around 250 student or maybe less)... the Dean came out and gather everyone to explain to us. even with a library only with 1500 books.... can we even finish reading ALL the book in 1 year?
lesson is that, with so many lens available, we will not and cant afford to buy Every unit...we cant even buy all sony lens, what more to say others?
if u(not u shootkk, those who complain bout lack of lens) were talking about choice, 70% of other brand shooter dont even buy their own brand lens, they pick sigma and tamron, which Also available for sony too.
