if Apple fixes the death grip in september, is it a software fix so that people who are using the bumper can let their iPhone be naked again?

QUOTE(Kyoshiro @ Aug 11 2010, 05:51 PM) Yes, I've tested it on my Iphone4 which is a Singtel unit. oh, thanks for the info guys. Signal did dropped 1 or 2 bars, no big deal. Unless the Iphone is located at places with low signals, or else it wont drop calls. Not as bad as i expect like what we saw in youtube videos. |

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Aug 12 2010, 09:42 AM) im just assuming the plans are exactly the same as the 3gs. not sure if it will still be available. the free 500mb is for any hotlink plan, not necessarily youth club the free 500MB, the T&C said that it is valid for 12 months, so after 1 year then how?Added on August 12, 2010, 7:46 pm QUOTE(HappyGOLuckyme @ Aug 12 2010, 07:40 PM) oh wait, just saw this. http://www.hotlink.com.my/web/portal/hotli...et_about_en_weband... if we pre-register and pre-order, priority still will be given to us if we take the hotlink package or not? QUOTE(Shoki @ Aug 12 2010, 08:48 PM) After 1 year, you won't get any more free data. In that case, i think i will go with the prepaid plan. I will save more as i don't use as much as Rm100 for iValue 1. How much do you think Maxis will offer for the iPhone 4 32GB? I am deciding with the 32GB version because i have heard a lot of people who bought the 16GB version regretted. And the iPhone 4 records in HD so that will be using up more space. If they follow the same system as last year, the answer is yes. I pre-ordered my Hotlink 32GB 3GS and collected it on the first day of launch, 31st July 2009! |

QUOTE(edahani @ Aug 12 2010, 08:58 PM) just wonder what made them regretted buying 16GB? im planning to get one myself and dont wanna regret it later. about saving in HD im sure there's an option They said that it was worth a few extra hundred bucks for 2x more storage. They have plenty of apps., music albums, YouTube videos. Just like me. In Singapore, 32GB converted to RM is around RM2500, i hope that Maxis doesn't charge RM2990 like the iPhone 3GS. |

dvlzplayground im in the same boat with you.
Added on August 12, 2010, 10:00 pmFor those planning on taking the Prepaid Plan, buy a new Hotlink sim card, change from postpaid to prepaid, or use existing hotlink sim card (if you have one) ? Added on August 13, 2010, 12:35 am QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Aug 12 2010, 09:18 PM) that's good news. for 16gb iphone, assuming reload rm30 per month, and mobile internet rm68/month (after the 1st year).. totals up to only rm4026 in two years. 2490+(24*30)+(12*68). assuming the outright price is really rm2490 lah hehe if you take the iValue 1, RM100 x 24 months + RM1990<--- (assuming they dont change the price) (32GB) = RM4390i think the best part about this plan is i can control so i wont exceed 500mb. if exceed, maxis simply cant charge me if i dun have credit. for postpaid, i dun dare btw, say i have the 500mb free data in a month. suddenly 1 day i decide to surf a lot, can i still get the rm8 1-day mobile internet plan for an extra 500mb? RM4390 - RM4026 = RM364 Now i am undecided, should i go with prepaid plan or go with the iValue 1? It's almost the same price. Advantages of Postpaid. iValue 1 has 333min free calls, 100 SMS, 10 MMS free. Free between family lines. No need to go to shop and buy credit. Disadvantages of Postpaid. 15sen/min, 10sen/SMS. Advantages of Prepaid. Hotlink Youth Club = 12sen/min, 1 sen/SMS (same operator), 15sen/min, 6sen/SMS (other operators) Disadvantages of Prepaid. Have to go to shop and buy credit. So.. it is still safe to pre-order even though I'm going to go for the prepaid plan? The thought that keep lingering in my mind is that maxis will prioritize the postpaid users only.

QUOTE(jehutyz @ Aug 13 2010, 04:32 PM) Yeah. You will see it in your bill. Just same goes to if using the 500MB package, once after 500MB they will charge with normal rate. You will see the bomb in your bill. But no worry, they will charge you max of RM 250 even if your bill is thousand over for the data. his one is prepaid. no bill. but also bad cuz suddenly u can find out that u have RM0 left in credit if didnt check. |

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Aug 13 2010, 05:39 PM) there's a data counter on the iphone itself. not sure exactly where under settings cuz i dont own one too heheh. pre-ordering wont confirm us getting it when it just released? if u got any tips please tell me ya? I've been experiencing sleepless nights thinking of the day i will own my very own iPhone 4, and if i cannot get one when it is released and have to wait for months, i might just...juz reload like rm10 at a time maybe? so if u exceed, worst case juz lose rm10 only instead of paying rm250 need to find a way how to secure a unit for prepaid plan. hmm This post has been edited by HappyGOLuckyme: Aug 13 2010, 05:54 PM |

QUOTE(deepan84 @ Aug 13 2010, 09:00 PM) ok i would recommend u doin ur pre order at Maxis centres and not MEP. u shud go to klcc or maxis gardens. the MEP gets their stocks from maxis oni. last year durin the 3gs pre bookin, i paid at MEP oug. end up they said not sure can get on time o not. after bangin dem left right and complainin to maxis hotline nee the MEP called n confirmed dat the 3gs is reserved for me. so i guess dis time ill be safe by doin my pre-bookin at big maxis centres. Thank you for the info. |
