I maybe killed by the folks at Symbian subforum for posting this, but I need an opinion. I got a Nokia N8 last two weeks but then I started reading about Android. And the more I read the more I'm drawn into posting my N8 for sale in Garage Sales.  After reading through till posts from 1st January, it seems that
1.) The best Android at 1.5K is the Desire AP? I'm not sure I can get it at that price here in Sarawak.
2.) Sub 1K is the Optimus One? I could use the extra money after letting go of my N8.

one thing that turn me off about optimus 1 is the camera

must have - good battery life
brand doesnt matter, please recommend me a phone

Would like to know the pros & cons between Asus A10 & LG Optimus 1. Still using conventional phone, so it'll be first time on smart phone.
As far as I know:
1) A10 5mp camera, O1 3.2 mp
2) A10 internal 4 GB memory, O1 170mb
3) A10 2.1, O1 2.2

Any comment on those 2 phones?

depending on if u re an update freak, Liquid Metal is pretty solid in terms of hardware... but take note that no devs in XDA forum is interested with it, so it's zero support when comes to custom ROMs...

lol, Defy and SGS are totally different class lor...

u can take a look at Desire/Desire Z and Xperia X10 too...
gaming it's definitely SGS, SAMOLED is juz ...

but since u hate Sammy, i would go with Desire... X10 is stuck in 2.1 forever while Desire is at 2.2 (with rumour of 2.3, can't confirm though)... and X10 has no multitouch and only 65K colours, while Desire is 16M colours...

1) secondary cam for video call
2) 3G
3) budget around 800-1300.. (1.3K really stretching it) without contract

Desire is 1.5k. As he said 1.3k is REALLY stretching it. Go for the Liquid Metal if you don't mind getting no support. Very nice phone at its price.

Aria overpriced liao. 

Acer Liquid Metal is his best bet.  If he can up to 1.38k, Captivate it is.
