but you can still flash custom 2.2 or even 2.3 provided they are available

if you must choose between the 3, I would say WF
but personally would suggest LG Optimus One P500, priced 800~900

Hmm. Maxis huh? If you were to get it off contract it will be nice. the wildfire is okay, but the resolution of the screen.
Liquid metal FTW man. Better specs. Acer < LG in terms of quality afaik.

Liquid Metal is the best 1.2k range phones thus far. 2nd gen Snapdragon at 800mhz which is the same as the 1.9k Desire Z. And it is a farking Vanilla phone. Want me to relist the pros and cons again?
Pros:
1:Vanilla.(Means its a phone without any additional icons or skins. Its just pure android. This is what Nexus S and Nexus One uses. There is actually something called Breeze UI installed but you can disable it. Thus, granting the Vanilla)
2: 800mhz 2nd gen Snapdragon ala Desire Z
3: Dedicated camera button.(Very few Android phones have this IIRC)
4: Nice and vibrant screen though its TFT. Its a 3.6". Perfect size IMO.
5: LED notifications.
6: Nice loudspeaker
7: 800x480 at this price range is quite rare. So i guess its a pro.
8: Aluminium back cover
Cons:
1: Laggy Breeze UI. Can disable in favour of Vanilla.(95% favours vanilla )
2: Its an Acer like people said. Personally i don't think this is much of a con as HTC and other major phone brands are Taiwan made too.

Sums it up i guess. I can't think of much cons for this phone. Perfect for its price. Comes with 8gb microSD from gtrowa.

Not necessarily you have to sign contract to surf internet everywhere. Just get a data plan and its all well. If you can't get the phone you want then don't. If you don't mind, go for available phones. IMO for Maxis you should go for Motorola DEFY.    Waterproof and shockproof is quite alluring.

Impossible for your specs at that price range. What you pay is what you get. If possible you can go for installment, increase ur budget by another 500 and get the Liquid Metal. Another option is the Optimus One with no flash player. Touch Wiz is for Samsung phones only. Its a preinstalled UI.

DiGi smartplan also got maa... Anyway, heard some people kena raep by Maxis kaw2 one. Rather suffer EDGE speeds at some places than kena raep.
Desire wins.

Confirm. Data plan is different from the phone.
Desire. Better software support and definitely has Gingerbread upcoming in a few months. Multitouch as an added function for most games and smoother web browsing. Better build and more compact. IMO its the perfect size for a phone. 4.3 is too big, 2.8 is too small. Overall it wins in EVERY category except for the camera department. SE phones always have good cameras.

And usually you can get the plan/contract by going to the telco center.
And sometimes just subscribe, no conracts.

Got sign agreement, but no contract la. meaning can cancel anytime wan.
Got that for my DiGi smartplan. 

1.Buy phone out of contract

2. get iValue + iPhone

3. Sell iPhone

4. ????

5. PROFIT!!!

lol, not exactly, according to their rates you have to pay more for data.. 

Thus, if you want the iPhone plan. Do as the steps above.

Both available for AP sets. Desire Z already got ori sets, not that sure of the price for ori though.

AP prices:

Desire Z : ~RM 17XX
Milestone 2 : ~RM 1800

From their site, i see the rm50 plan dun have internet.   Have to add the data plan internet usage.

So it's technically rm 50 + 58 per month.

There is a RM10 rebate every month. So the minimum is RM98.

LYN garage sales is the place, IMO, Desire Z is better, feels more classy.

O1 res is  , but camera   so-so la..

Depends on what you want bro. Better cam or better screen. Your choice.
