Had dinner at Shanghai Seafood Village last night - Bandar Puteri there near the little kafu place. RM6 for a small portion of dry fry river noodle, the one with the raw egg in the middle. Very flavourful though. Came with some slices of fishcake, little baby lala and squid. My friend had the stir fry black pepper seafood udon. A bit pricey at Rm13.80, again for a rather small portion. 4 not very fresh prawns, two mussels, two scallops, and some lttle baby lala. Taste soso and it just seems a crime to do this sort of thing to scallops and mussels.

Is this the one what claims to serve Isaan food? I went there once a year or more ago. Very soso, actually I will never go back there again. No idea what it is called.

Not Isaan, more like Southern Thai, since cooks were local Thai. Isaan food is rather bland hot and really spicy..mostly food that goes well with sticky rice.

Oh another restaurant then. The one I went to was very specifically Isaan. They had typical Issan stuff like lap pet and a choice of normal rice and sticky rice. But I thought it was pricey and not nice. I wish I can go Isaan again. So nice.
