If Giant area, just park at Giant car park.

Initial proposed site for station no 6 was just next to ioi mall
http://lrtpuchong.blogspot.com/2009/12/ste...ll-puchong.html

Now lobbied over by SP Setia ?

But I feel it is more strategic to be situated near the ioi business park.

I sold my 6 years old Samsung fridge for RM400 few days ago and bought a slim and sexy 397 lt Sharp Kagami 5 stars energy saving refrigerator with a RM200 government rebates. Total net payment RM1K only.
Hurry up the RM200 government rebate is limited and 1st come 1st serve basis.

Rebate they give on the spot ?
*
Yes. upfront deduction.
Please go to http://www.saveenergy.gov.my/ to print the rebate voucher. If not mistaken there is a limit of only 50,000 vouchers only.

I bought the Kagami from ESH (Beside Tesco) RM1699. After RM200 rebate, I paid only RM1499 and was given a Sharp blender & grinder as free gift. Other shops quoted RM1650 but they are not listed in the http://www.saveenergy.gov.my/.

I think this 5 stars energy saving fridge is quite good. By 9pm (my fridge off peak period) the side panel of the fridge is cold to touch already. My old non energy saving samsung fridge usually feels hot to touch at the side panel due to compressor still running even though there is no doors opening activities for 1 hour or longer and it warm up my kitchen's temperature.

Correct. Makro is rebranded as Tesco Extra. Then those smaller shoplots like 7-11 size are also known as Tesco Extra.

Ipoh Tesco Extra is much smaller.

Maybe current Puchong is downgraded to smaller one, and they are going to build a much bigger at Puchong Utama? Or some regulations or to avoid confusion with two Tesco's around ?  hmm.gif

I'll check later with my Tesco friends to confirm.
So far doesn't sound right. Are they going to re-brand the big stores in Mutiara Damansara and HQ at Kepong Village Mall as Tesco Extra also ?
Shah Alam Tesco going to re-launch next Monday.
*
I think you mistaken the Tesco Express convenient store in Ipoh as Tesco Extra.

Tesco Extra > Tesco > Tesco Express

By any logic, "Extra" can't be smaller.

Just came back from the worst new wave kopitiam ever, Hainan Tea across the road from Maybank Bandar Puteri, near Giant.

The menu had a picture of thick slices of wholemeal bread with generous dollops of kaya and with thick slices of butter in between, stacked up in a few layers.  What arrived were two thin slices of wholemeal bread, with a thin strip of butter in between you can barely see, and kaya spread so thin as to be practically invisible.  RM3.50.  The chicken curry set with a wholemeal bun was awful.  The chicken was tough, the curry uninteresting and the bun soft and mushy.  RM7.90. The chüchiongfan set came with a couple of pork balls and a piece of beancurd skin all slathered in an awful sickly sweet sauce.  The chüchiongfan itself was mushy and sticky.  RM5.90.

Tea is RM4.50, coffee RM5.00, more expensive than anywhere else apparently.

Last Friday had beef noodles at Asia cafe food court.... So awful till want to vomit. 3 or 4 thin slices of beef in the soup and the seller call it beef noddles already. Some more selling at rm6. Just now also had beef noodles but at Siam Paragon food court. The soup was so much better with generous amount of Liu and selling only at rm5 per bowl even in a high end shopper center in bangkok.

Hi there, what is the recommended home alarm system and how much?

Anyone with ADT? I heard they offer package where you have to pay rm75 with 3 yrs contract. Not sure shd i go with it or not.

One of my neighborhood house just got broken into so quit worrying at time.
*
No need to pay ADT monthly fees, just buy a RM1000+ home alarm system with GSM sim card slot. If your alarm triggered, you will receive call from the sim card.
Old alarm system use home fixed line to notify you but the problem is Unify VOIP line is not compatible with the alarm system.

I save the ADT money for our RA guards which is RM400 a year. If my home alarm calls me, I know which door or window is breached by listening to the tone signal ( latest system can speak English). Then I just have to call the guard to go and take a look at the triggered area. So much cheaper and effective than ADT. The guards also do regular patrol in my Taman, close my front gates when I forget to close. ADT don't do these security services for you.

Easier if some of those chinese students where both parent are banana to send their childs to National school instead. Stop the over-crowding and also petition to have Chinese class in National school. This is better solution..

There are lotsa cases where parent that are Malay ed but sending their children to Chinese school, their children really perform badly due to real languarge gap.
*
Just signed the petition. looks like the goman already achieved what they want. Slowly changing the Chinese mindset to study in National type school by creating short supply situation with No new Chinese, Tamil school policy. sweat.gif

Seeking opinion.
Do you think this type of grill lock reinforcement shell can give better deterrent to the would be intruders as compare to the normal "lock ears" + padlock without the protective shell ?

I dun see any problem being in national school... was educated since kindy, primary and secondary in national school... dun see i'm less chinese than others. In fact, i listen mostly to chinese songs and speak mandarin mostly even in school. Some chinese educated friends i know listen only to english songs.. Irony
*
That's one fine example of how successful the gomen policy is working right now. The policy is slowly showing effects, slow until the Chinese don't even realise it.....20 or 30 years down the road...generation by generation ....Chinese don't regard Chinese primary school is their root of culture anymore.

Have not heard of this type of intrusion yet. Maybe it consume to much time to break in.
