So normally what mode you use for shot landscape? This lx5 still new to me. I still search for the best mode.

I see a bit dull my picture after post here. Compare at my monitor when large. I guess I reduce the quality too much to reduce the file size.

I took many exposer and many mode just for 1 scene. And choose the nice 1 latter. Cause don't no which mode is better. End up many job to sort out the picture.

For battery less than 400shot. Depend on/off and zooming. If not heavy user, 1 battery/perday should be enough.

Forget the 8gb card. Ask for the discount the camera without the card. Than go out get the transcend 32GB CL10. RM159. That should be enough for your whole trip.

Lens scratch? Expensive wor.

Fail to read here can cause you pay more.

If you read here, got forumer can get the lowest price for RM1200. Unless you can get a better deal than this. Than let us know in here to guide others.

Why you 1 the 8gb which don't save much picture and video file? If you know the math. Example. Without the card cost rm1300 and with card cost rm1399. Save your rm99 and go out get a 32gb card which cost rm159. Just add rm60. The 8gb card not worth rm99 and it just class 4.

I brought 3pcs 32gb class 10 transcend for rm159 each. The performance of this card is more than enough.

Once again, if you read her, you can get the leather LX5 standard case. If you get other than this, it is not for this LX5.

I m newbie here too. just brought my lx5 on august. My picture spam here so so only.

I ride back to the future and take some this picture.

I got go to this car show also. So I know many lenglui in there. But that time still using my old camera to shot.

I shot more lenglui than the car at the show. Even I interest more in car.

Depend how you see. You might compare the spec of this 2 camera if you see in technology and old/new way.

If you see as picture quality, does it matter?

Comapre to 3 type same camera(LX5 , s100 and xz1) LX5 is the oldest. Otherwise they all pretty the same.

But I still choose lx5. Beside the spec, lx5 design look more nice. Actually I m eyeing this camera since lx3.



Here, I poison you some picture with the lx5 taken. All the picture no tweak just crop. Direct from lx5.
Let go back to the future.

yup, using the pin hole mode. A nice feature for this kind of classic mode. And possible lower down the exposer to make it darken abit. Or can tweak the white balance to yellowish to make the color washout like the last picture.

Many kids like to play with that gold wash. And did see really have gold dust in the pan.

You should go again for a holiday. The surrounding town is worth a walk and stay. Full of old and classic house and building.

So better prepare your lx5 and practice more.

Yup, I purposely go and stay at 1 of the oldest motel outside the city. Date back 1886. (the last picture) I call it ghost motel. at night really hear those floor cracking and door banging sound just like scary movie.

Many mah. Those "kuai lo" all around the motel.

This is the motel I stay. I stay in that tall tower. Got 3 floor and narrow room. The top room can go out till top and can see the whole surrounding area. At night the top floor door will open/close cause by the wind blow. Create the door screehing sound. Scary.

Still using very old light switch.


Inside the room looking to the downstair main door. Shot here and there still can't find the hantu. The stair and the floor when walking will have cracking sound like those ghost movie. Cause the floor is plane wood and very old. At night somebody walking, the sound scary and noisy.

If going back KL, than get it from KL. Alot of shop can offer better price here. You can brought from here Trade site too.

1st you got to read the manual.

For my term, bokeh is similar to the DOF. The subject is focus. But everything behind is blur. Mostly shot for portrait for ppl. This will make the person standout from other not interesting background.

But our lx5 have difficult to shot this. The best way is the person and the background must far away and max F. Another is zoom with max F.
