Heh not really! Instead of waiting for the lightning to appear. I did something totally the opposite of it! I set the camera to a high apperture and the lowest possible ISO and the shutter speed to 30sec (or was it 45 sec) and leave the camera there hoping that a lightning will turn up . I waited around an hour for this ahahaha. Was well worth it!!!

Guys, my lumix dropped into the water and was retrieved immediately and being dried by hair dryer for a few hours.
Then tried turning it on 2 days later and it didnt work. Any solution to that? or somewhere that i can repair? Thanks!

hi! new 'old' lx5 owner checking in... just sold my canon s95 and picked up a used lx5... initial impression, this lx5 is seriously powerful - so many options so many features. i just wanted to ask here if anyone happen to be using a WRIST strap with the lx5? as the original provided neck strap is too long for my liking, and i prefer a wrist strap. i found some in ebay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Striped-Canon-Niko...#ht_2704wt_1110 but it seems to wide for the LX5.... hope lx5 owners can share.

i also found that the lens cap is a bit troublesome to remove/put on, so i ordered those auto close cap from ebay... will take a while to get to me. will post some spam photos shortly as i learn more about this camera. just updated to fw 2.0 though and the AF is seriously very fast.. amazing!

i'm afraid those hp wrist wrap may not be strong enough to handle the weight of the LX5.... but thanks i'll try and look around..

hi all LX5 owners.... can i check those using orig battery, has anyone tried taking avchd recording? what's the max you can take on a single full charge? i just tried and it's barely 1 hour.. is that ok or is my battery worn?

if you look in the LX5 advance manual, it says not to frequently top up the battery (page 18). in this case, we almost need to have 2 batteries and totally run each one flat before recharging to gain maximum lifetime out of it....

i just ordered an extra batt from ebay, not sure if good or not but gonna try it out. RM20 only.

Sorry getting out of topic, but since still related to lx5..... Try this

1. Register or login to www.ebay.com (yes, .com, not .com.my)
2. Search for the things you want, eg "lx5 cap"
3. On the results screen, click on the sort by and select price+location, then select malaysia
4. Then the results will now be listed cheapest first. It's a matter of selecting the best seller at this point. So far i've had no issues buying the cheapest listed, e.g. For lx5 auto close cap i can easily find $5.09 for white cap ( look for buy it now, not bid type of listing)

ya i also can still use the card just that it will get more and more back picture with image cannot be displayed. Is there something wrong?

my old lumix camera only had this problem after few years of usage. LX5 already had this after few weeks. :-(
