HI! just wanna ask u guys if what the Art modes are on the LX-5?
are they the same as the gf1?

I guess it's a built-in HDR mode. My 2cents.

Yes, quite nice shot with blur background... rclxms.gif
Done that with many macro shot...
Havent try with portrait shot yet coz my sis don wanna be my model... cry.gif

LX5 cannot do bokeh shots 1 la. Don't mislead ppl. The sensor is so small, f2 oso no use coz f2 is at 24mm. Small sensor + 24mm wide angle gives huuuuuuge DOF n practically everything is sharp unless ur background is like miles away. laugh.gif

blurring background can do lar... but not as nice as those where you can see the individual light source as small round shapes or polygon shapes

Paiseh Uncle Ian, din intend to misled ppl... juz stating my 2cents opinion only... tongue.gif
But i can take those "bokeh" with my lx5 altho not so good as those dslr lar...

When ppl ask that kinda question, they're usually expecting SLR type of bokeh. When they see compact cam small small boekh they will boh song 1. laugh.gif
