QUOTE(wgy589 @ Jul 25 2010, 03:46 PM) what i meant was that many other private medical schools in malaysia started off about the same time as UCSI, and some even earlier, examples would be Penang Medical College, AIMST, Royal College of medicine perak, Allianze College of Medical sciences, CUCMS and Management and Science University, but why do you think UCSI is better? And i'm not well to do, in fact i wanted to study in IMU twinning programme, but my parents just couldn't afford it. Pardon my ignorance but isn't NUS a better school than IMU XD ?

Pardon my ignorant, but whatever gave you that idea? if you understand how the OECD countries (in the msian context, that will normally refer to uk/oz/nz/canada and perhaps we can add spore now) manage their health care, and how they handle their selection and training of doctors (and health care personnel in general), you will not ask this question..... try apply to enter medicine in these places, and you may get an idea..... And i'm not well to do, in fact i wanted to study in IMU twinning programme, but my parents just couldn't afford it. to give you my most honest answer, because those places are mostly populated by malay students(AIMST & PMC aside), hence chinese & indian students prefer not to go those places. doesn't mean its not good(allianz college aside, that one totally cannot, dun even have a proper building IINM). places in AIMST are 100% fully reserved for their own foundation programmes students, so its hard for other people who did stpm/a levels to go in. fo PMC, u have to go ireland 2 years before coming back to malaysia for the clinical years. hence question of cost arises. therefore, back to ucsi.
