QUOTE(DarkNite @ Jul 24 2010, 08:08 AM) Be their 'lab mouse'? If their fees are cheap, facilities adequate and the academic staff are highly competent, why not? But currently only 2 schools -UKM & UM, are recognized outside Malaysia. that is not accurate......... pmc degree is recognised in ireland....(but not in uk/spore) monash msia is recognised in oz......(but not in uk/spore) imu local is recognised in sri langka........ and um/ukm is recognised only by spore, outside msia........

QUOTE(cckkpr @ Jul 24 2010, 07:44 PM) If you start this year or next and five years down the road when you qualify, the "better ones" will probably secure more recognition overseas and the likely ones looks like Monash and maybe UCSI. ucsi?..........whatever gave you that idea.....!

QUOTE(cckkpr @ Jul 24 2010, 09:43 PM) From those classified under the second tier, I think UCSI would have a better chance, no? better chance in what?.......... if you mean recognition by the developed OECD world, ucsi's chances is the same as for all the other homegrown private med schools...... zero......... wgy is in nus.......... and this is nothing to do with the cost of the course........but the quality of the uni........ put it another way.........assuming money is not an issue........can you get in?.......... ie what is the selection criteria of that med school.........

QUOTE(`shinryu @ Jul 25 2010, 04:31 PM) Pardon my ignorance but isn't NUS a better school than IMU XD ? she says imu-pms..........which is theoretically a better option than nus, as it allows one to stay back and work, in some places...... Added on July 25, 2010, 4:52 pmQUOTE(DarkNite @ Jul 25 2010, 07:39 AM) Zero? Pardon my ignorant, but whatever gave you that idea? if you understand how the OECD countries (in the msian context, that will normally refer to uk/oz/nz/canada and perhaps we can add spore now) manage their health care, and how they handle their selection and training of doctors (and health care personnel in general), you will not ask this question..... try apply to enter medicine in these places, and you may get an idea.....
