Damn I've been playing with the loop for like 2-3 days now and it looks like my total loop would be around 9-10 ft

You can use any radiator you want, it'd likely perform better but will be really ghetto.

Does anybody know where can I get rubber grommet to cover up holes? I don't want to use the stock grommet that comes with the casing. I know nicholasteoh sells it but he is taking awhile to reply and I wanna get the rig running

u have to understand that the room temperature affect the performance as well .
having bigger radiator doesnt necessarily means ur system will be colder . if the temp reaches equilibrium to ur room temp, its not gonna do any lower temperature . hence, know ur hardware better |

It only costs me RM38 more to go EK gpu bridge vs other solution (d-plug/crystal link, and etc). I cannot decide if I should get the bridge. It seems like most EK's link can be reused on newer blocks but going dplug/crystal link would be future proof. I don't need to see through the liquid.

its up to u .
i prefer crystal link since it simplify the loop . doesnt look like redundant in term of size |

Will take picture after i gau dim everything. Technically the rig is about 95% completed. I am still missing a cable for the second EZ plug, black fan connectors, rubber grommet, and casters.
I've been OCing since this morning after reinstalling windows. So far my 2500k Costa Rica can do 4.9ghz @ 1.35. My water temp is only 29C and XSPC LCD sensor that I placed beneath the cpu block is reporting 32C (probably not very accurate, might have to stick it deeper in). AI Suite is saying CPU is 49C. Looks like there are quite a bit more room to go hehe |

Some quick pictures I took earlier:
Dell 30", 2 x Dell 2007FP ![]() 800D ![]() After lots of planning, this is my layout ![]() Temporary crystal link borrowed from Ezzy. Rubber grommet hasn't arrived, using masking tape for now. Don't want to destroy the original grommet. All Copper blocks, didn't wanna deal with plating issues, fixed or not. Polished with brasso so they look real shinny in person. XSPC sensor at bottom left direct cpu temp monitor. Pump behind 240mm rad, hidden. Only one 90degree elbow used. These 2 cards can barely drive my 30", I'm adding a third card later this year hence the gap in between. Rig costs over 5 digits if you include the monitors ![]() Currently I have the rig at: http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/110209...00k-5-1ghz.html ) (copy and paste from: QUOTE RIG - 2500k Costa Rica - Asus Maximus IV Extreme - 16gb Ripjaw 12800 - 60gb Vertex 2 - 1TB x 2 Spinpoint F3 Raid 0 - Corsair HX850 - 2 x 6970 Cooling - EK Supreme HF Acetal Copper - EK 6970 Acetal Copper FC - XSPC RX360 (3 x GT 1850) - XSPC RX240 (2 x GT 1850) - XSPC RX120 (1 x GT 1850) - DDC 3.2 w/ XSPC Top - Corsair Airflow Current OC - 2500k Costa Rica, Batch: 3102C261 - 100 BCLK, 51 Multi Turbo - EIST, C1E enabled - Internal PLL: Enabled - CPU PLL 1.8 - Vcore LLC: 100% - Vcore switch: Auto - Vcore phase control: Extreme - CPU Voltage: 1.4 (works below 1.4 but didn't bother finding out what is the lowest yet) TEMP After 30-60mins of Prime - CPU: 59C - CPU Socket: 42C - Mobo: 33C - Water: 32C (CPU is almost double this, am I not getting enough flow?) - GPU: 40-45 (Idle) Remarks I could get about 5ghz stable at 1.355. I then upped to 1.4 and started going from there. I could do 5.1ghz stable, but 5.2ghz gives me BSOD after a few mins. What's next do you think I should do next? Added on August 27, 2011, 7:48 pmBtw I repainted all the rads, XSPC's paint is garbage... This post has been edited by AlamakLor: Aug 27 2011, 07:59 PM |
