Cyclone? DDC is too strong for this simple res. That's why I change to EK res.

As BuckRoger's case I think he has filled enuf coolant to the res top but still got cyclone hmm...
Go get the Bitspower Matt Black Anti-Cyclone Adapter
D5 at reduced speed is another solution but flow rate will take the hit.

@speedhunter

nope i dont plan to go for WC for my GC bcos sometimes i change GC twice a year .
so i dont really want to spend a lot on the waterblock and end up changing GC .

@owikh84

i got the anti cyclone but im still thinking how to mount it properly bcos its meant to be mounted on top .
if mount at the bottom, the water will burst 4 ways and my WC system will end up sucking high pressure water from the res .

is it ok if i put the anti cyclone as inlet and use the long stick as outlet ?

That long stick suppose to push hot water up & inlet will suck the cold water frm da bottom sweat.gif correct me if im wrong biggrin.gif.

for some reason i do think that stick is one of the reason as the shape is like cone, smaller hole at the end. water is compressed in that stick & shoot up to the top.

anyway, do let me know if changing inlet to outlet is working biggrin.gif.

Not really. Noisy as the coolant splashing onto the wall and top.

the anti cyclone adapter is meant to replace the horny stick as inlet.
just remove the horny stick, easier to drain

yes ! my method works !
refer to my drawing up there .
it works flawlessly .
now my WC system no more typhoon .
just a small one at top and its barely noticable .

well i thought of not using the stick but the anti cyclone will burst the water out 3 ways .
this will cause the pump to suck a very high pressure water from the reservoir .
my point of view saying that it will cause the pump to suck water with bubbles
dat's y i use the stick to make sure that the pump will suck water from upper level which is very calm and get a clean flow of water from the reservoir .

those who use z-tank can try my method ^^,
sadly no more cyclone, my WC system doesn't look so powerful anymore .
i personally love the cyclone, it makes d WC system looks very powerful tongue.gif

nah.... ek 4.0 is weak from my experience...
water inside my res so calm like nothing is flowing... laugh.gif
just hear the pump noise only... laugh.gif
but it still good for simple loop i guess...it works flawlessly for my simple loop... thumbup.gif
just not so strong i guess... hmm.gif

b4 this im using ek 100 res+old mid tower casing...just can see small water flow inside that res...
after using ek 250 res wif same setup the turbulence just disappear... sweat.gif laugh.gif
